Giving The Baking Institute a well deserved 5 stars. The bakery service was part of my package from Meridian Banquets. My graduation cake was beautiful and elegantly presented, and the texture of the cake was delicious! A lot of my guest also stated that it was really good and moist. Customer service was very kind! Highly recommend and will order for future events
Bakery services with the Baking Institute was apart of my reception package with Abbington Banquets. I worked with various staff throughout my wedding coordination. Staff was very receptive and attentive to my feedback. My wedding cake turned out flawless. The sugar crystals decorations on the cake were amazing. Guests had nothing but high praises for her light and delicious the cake tasted. I highly recommend this company.
The Baking Institute provided our cake for our wedding day and was part of our package from our reception. We had a nice experience at the tasting, everything tasted great and the cakes on display looked amazing! We wanted our wedding cake the be an art deco art piece during our reception and pay multiple hundreds of dollars in addition to what was covered in our reception package with the venue. We were so excited about our cake, we asked staff at the venue to specifically leave it out for as long as possible so we and our guests could take photos and look at it as long as possible before cutting. The day of our wedding came, the cake was out during our "first look" at the reception hall and I was so disappointed with how it turned out. The detail work was horrible. You could tell they added the individual pieces of detail to the cake and then painted and the quality was extremely poor. There was gold color over the navy pieces, the straight line art work wasn't even straight. I was ashamed I paid so much extra for this piece of art to not even get a piece of art. The only reason 3 stars was given was because the cake tasted good. If I had known the decorative quality would be so poor, I never would've paid extra for it because it wasn't worth it.
My fiance and I had our tasting at The Baking Institute on Saturday 3/11 with Sierra. We had an absolute fantastic time and Sierra was wonderful and full of knowledge! We showed a photo of a cake we wanted and she said we can have the exact thing no problem. All of the cakes look so well done and we can't wait to receive ours!
Our cake was so stunning and incredible! The cake was so delicious it was eaten completely with no leftovers, which as you know for wedding cakes, is almost unheard of! Absolutely delicious and so unique and we received a ton of compliments from our guests. Thank you Baking Institute!
My fiancé and I recently attended a cake tasting that left us utterly disappointed and downright appalled. Firstly, the location of the tasting was in the middle of a mundane office lot, with a Home Depot-like vibe that left a lot to be desired. As if that wasn't enough, our host was a woman who seemed to have taken a personal offence to our presence. Her unwelcoming greeting was only surpassed by the abrasive manner in which she told us to sit down at a round table. It was unbelievable when she came back and aggressively informed us that we were sitting in her seat. Then came the cake. The woman carelessly placed it on the table, plopping it down like it was a mere paperweight. We began sampling the mango cake, only to find that there was absolutely no mango taste. We brought this to her attention, but she insisted that the mango taste was strong. This back-and-forth went on for some time, and we finally had to reiterate that the mango was either super subtle or entirely absent. We were then asked about the platter color, and when we said silver, she proceeded to tell us a story about a previous client who spent 40 minutes deciding on the base color. She went as far as to say that she wanted to kill herself. This is no way to talk to clients, and we found it highly unprofessional. To top it off, one of the cake samples was wet on the bottom, with visible water droplets around it. When we pointed it out and asked if it was frozen, she said no, that the cake is just moist. This left us wondering if we were even tasting fresh cake. Overall, the cake tasting was a total disaster. From the poor customer service to the unimpressive cake samples, this experience left a sour taste in our mouths. We will not be recommending this place to anyone and would instead advise anyone looking for a cake tasting to steer clear of this establishment.
Baking Institute has phenomenal service great cakes, cookies and pastries for ALL occasions, deliveries always on time! My FAMILY favorite is the carrot cake! Thank You for always making my events so special!
Wedding cake looked really beautiful, just as we have asked, but the taste was awful, none, not even one person liked it. Dry, clearly too sweet, and when we had tasting it was waaaay better then what we got.
My fiance and I went for a cake tasting at The Banking Institute with Ciara for our wedding. She was extremely helpful with the design options and the cakes with fillings were delicious! Highly recommended.
