(I posted this review on yelp too)
We stayed for a full week in mid-september, before the foliage tours began. The old farmhouse is huge, with warmly decorated rooms (all with their own baths) - we had the large suite on the second floor, with a couch in the bedroom, a full sunroom/porch attached, and a dressing room with shelves and an armoire attached to the large bathroom. There are magazines, books, local info brochures, and board games throughout the downstairs. We could be as private or as social as we wanted.
Barbara was such a gracious host, and cooked such wonderful omelets and pancakes for breakfast! Fresh eggs from a nearby farm, veggies from the garden, and Vermont maple syrup - delicious. The addition of fruit, yogurt, and various breads and jams filled us up so much that we skipped lunch just about every day. Barbara was also able to put us in touch with some local historians (we were in VT/NH doing some research.)
Bailey's Mills was a welcome home base for us for our week - a friendly host, a lovely home, beautiful surroundings. The B&B is off of VT Route 106, which has easy access to most of the tourist towns in the area. Highly recommended!
