Story

Axé Capoeira Toronto is the GTA's premiere 3x Award Winning Capoeira Academy located in Corso Italia neighborhood of Toronto @ 1069 St Clair Ave West, 2nd Floor.

We offer beginner friendly and advance Capoeira classes for ages 3-5, 6-13 and 14+. Our classes consist of Martial Arts, Acrobatics, Music, Dance, Fitness and more.

We are also one of Toronto's most sought after Performance Group providing entertainment for Corporate Events, Weddings, Birthday Parties, Television Shows and Festivals. We offer unique and high-energy, lifting performances that are sure to leave audiences on the edge of their seats.

As Toronto's first and largest Capoeira academy, we are at the forefront of Capoeira and the Brazilian Culture in the city for the past 14 years. Our training facility includes 4000+ sq. ft. of state of the art training equipment for all Capoeira and fitness training. Come check us out!

Capoeira Bamba is such a unique and special community. I joined with zero experience in summer 2019, and felt so comfortable and welcomed right away. The classes are super fun and you learn so much!! The environment is the best part, many parents come with their kids, people and so kind and there's just a great energy. Training and being part of this group is such a great experience- if you're curious I highly recommend you join a class!
Capoeira Bamba is not only the best Capoeira school, it is also one of the best sport academy that I have seen. Clean, well equipped, and beautiful with a lot of space to train. Classes are going on every day, which is very important to adapt your training with you personal day depending of the week. Mestre Paraiba is very knowledgeable and motivating. Christine is super helpful and sympathetic. The more experienced students are nice humble people, and always help the beginners like me. So no worries, none is going to kick you on your first day, maybe after the second day only...hahaha! The academy is a bit far from my home, however, I always feel happy to have taken the time to go. Do not think it over and give it a try! They also have clases in Mississauga. Thank you Capoeira Bamba!
My family and I absolutely love Capoeira Bamba! My son LOVES the minis class! Graduada Christine is such a a patient and sweet teacher. Its a clean and welcoming environment and everyone is kind. We are so happy to be apart of a great community that really makes us feel like family!
We love Bamba. My son and I both train capoeira with team Bamba. It is the most supportive and welcoming community - they have helped us move through difficult times and also given us such joy. Capoeira is a massive challenge but at Bamba you will feel capable and you will want to learn, no matter what your level or ability. The best place to learn Capoeira , that is a sport that mixes martial art, dance and music, developed in Brazil by descendants of African. My son loves Capoeira, and definitely changed my son’s life. He developed self esteem, self confidence and also the best place for keep good mental health, that nowadays it’s such an important thing for everyone. I highly recommend this place ! They are kind, very patient and helpful.

Our kids started capoeira in the last few months at bamba. They loved the minis class so much that my husband and me decided to try the adult classes. We were hooked! The teachers have such have a positive energy and are genuinely there to spread their love and knowledge of capoeira while creating a strong sense of community. We are grateful we found the spacious studio and look forward to many more years at capoeira bamba!
I’ve been trainings for over 3 years they offer lots of classes for all ages starting from 3 and up. I started in the kids class and now I’m in the teens class. I improved my focus, confidence, and made many new friends! I feel stronger because of Capoeira Bamba, give it a try. I highly recommend!
Joined back when it was known as Axe Capoeira, Same owners. This team is amazing, I remember joining when I was a little kid. Didn't even know how to do a somersault, didn't matter I still participated on belt evaluations and public events. I will always remember this stage of my life. Wish they're still around in the future for when my kids are able to join!
