L’auberge Willow est une institution à Hudson, Québec depuis 1820. Connu sous le nom « le Willow » par nos amis, nous sommes considérés comme une destination hôtelière et gastronomique de choix autant par les locaux que par les voyageurs.

The Auberge Willow Inn has been an institution in Hudson, Quebec, since 1820. Known as ‘the Willow’ to our friends, we are loved as a favourite hospitality and dining destination among locals and travellers alike.

My wife and I went with friends to the NEW Willow and for the reviewers who said it's not the Willow they knew, well thank goodness for THAT! No insipid apps and entrees you find anywhere and everywhere, not here (and we have been in the past, so we did compare) ! The food is locally-sourced and made in-house. Six of us went, between us we had the tuna crudo, grilled octopus and Willow salad. Outstanding! For mains we had the burger, the venison and the vegetarian special, which was a cabbage roll that evening. Again, creative and exciting and succulent! Each couple shared a portion of coconut cheesecake - my wife said it was like eating a cloud, sweet and light and amazing. The room feels airy and open, service was attentive and friendly, we  are delighted by the new Willow! It's finer dining folks, not a tired reincarnation. Congrats to the chef and new owners, we will be back!

I usually don't write reviews, but I felt obligated to write one for this restaurant.I got there the place had an amazing view with a very nice setting, but the food does not live up to the expectations. The dishes are significantly overpriced for what there worth. Scallops had sand in it and the ribs were as hard as stone( apparently it's suppose to be hard according to the waitress). I complained about the ribs and after we paid our bill, the chef came out of his kitchen to personally accuse us and I quote"you have insulted me and I think that you don't know how to eat" What kind of chef personally attacks their costumers for expressing their constructive criticism (funny he became rude to us right after we paid the bill). So if YOU want to have an authentic Kitchen Nightmare experience with a chef straight out of Kitchen Nightmare then THIS IS THE PLACE.

This is the first time we go since the reopening. Nice decor, great ambiance. Like that they have local beer on tap. The food was very good, even though I wasn't feeling very well. I still enjoyed the dinner. We did have a mishap at the end were a person ordered a specialized coffee and between the time he ordered and got it, it was about 15 minutes. Which is unacceptable in this type of business. What was even more unexpected was that there was an argument between two staffers at the bar that everybody got to experience. Not very pleasant. In their defense, they don't open on Wednesdays. Only Thursday through Sunday. Maybe they were busier than they thought they would be. No excuse for the behavior.

A hidden gem, off the beaten path. Wonderfull setting, beautiful view, proffesional and warm staff, ingeniously crafted meals, superbly stocked bar. Perfect for celebrating the most significant events in one's life. Only slight inconvenience might be the prices.

First time at the "new" willows.  Fantastic!  The charcuterie was amazing and the tartare venison was awesome.   We will definitely return.  Kudos to the new owners!
