Auberge Du Draveur

I have stayed here every year for the past 15 years. It is the perfect place to stay for my vacation purpose. I spend a week fishing at an exclusive rights outfitter around 150 miles north. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pricing is reasonable. The restaurant is excellent. Their pizza is world class. Their parking is excellent as I trailer a boat on my vacation. I do a Friday evening on my way in and a Saturday on my way home.

Hotel is awesome for the price. Locations is perfect.Rooms is good, On top of it Mariam is amazing, she speak English Fluently, she help me on my booking via phone. She called me again to make sure i got the email reservation that im looking for.nBonus part i met her during my Check in. She knows her job well and very polite.

I stayed for one night in their suite with King size bed, Which I have to say was very comfortable. Other than that the room was dated: peeling wallpaper that covers up all the nails sticking out of the walls, one sheer curtain panel was missing on one of the Windows, couldn’t figure out how to make the night table lights work, and black mildew on the all at the top of a window, carpet not well installed which made for a tripping hazard. Over all it was clean, but for 232$ for one night… I would expect a room that doesn’t look like it’s falling appart. The place needs TLC. Restaurant service as good, food good overall, ordered escargot as an entrée: a few more escargots to balance alllll that cheese would have been better in my opinion… Didn’t have a chance to try the spa, sauna etc. But if you are in Maniwaki this establishment is the only other option of the two there. I do plan on going again, but I know What to expect now. Dogs are permitted, staff are warm and kind.

Would not recommend. Service was subpar and communication was poor : I booked far in advance for a wedding party from out of town. It was a series of issues from the start. Our reservations were mixed up charged one person for 3 rooms, never booked another guests room despite that guest calling to book the room, etc. We were told they could accommodate an early check in at no charge due to the larger booking and they “didn’t know about this” when I called to confirm weeks before. They unprofessionally blamed it on a staff member and were rude to deal with. It got sorted out in the end but took too much effort on my part than it should have.nnAdditionally, we booked the upstairs of their restaurant 6+ months in advance for post wedding brunch. They confirmed that space was reserved for us. When we showed up in the morning with our wedding party, we were told they didn’t have enough staff to accommodate our booking. They never called to let me know.nnOverall, very disappointed. If you’re looking to book in Maniwaki and need to be certain your reservation will be issue free, I would look elsewhere.nnI’ve called and spoken to the hotel, an apology was offered but that’s it. They told me they will speak with the restaurant manager. I will see if the restaurant team does anything about messing up a wedding booking.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel last year. Clean rooms friendly staff and customer service. The pool, sauna and outdoor hot tub were open late. It made the 10 hour drive to the hotel well worth it. Very central location! We will definitely stay here again in the future!
