Auberge de la Pointe

The rooms are not air conditioned. When I raised this concern the owner attempted to convince me I should overlook this as the room had a good view of the river, which it did, and that it was a four star hotel. It is debatable as to this being a four star. What isn't debatable is attempting to convince a customer to overlook their comfort at a four star hotel and that I was free to leave as the room would rent right away. (The owners words paraphrased) Arrogance is not a hallmark of a four star inn. The owner did find us a nice room at another hotel after a prolonged conversation and did refund our charges. Had he simply done this from the start and acknowledged that his customers needs/wants come first it would be easier to see this as a four star.

Surprisingly nice. Recently updated. Beds were comfy. Slept amazing. Room faced ocean and our room had a Juliet balcony. Al kinds of lounging options including hammocks, lounge furniture and fireplaces. Pool is as good as photos show. Restaurant is too price. $60 for Table D'hôte for a multi-course seafood meal and breakfast. We ate elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic time. All of the staff where amazing.Great food and service.Superb accomodations.Fun , romantic....scenic.Whatever you are looking for , you will be sure to find it here. Samual is the most helpful, genuine , professional person you could hope to find anywhere. Hats off to Vicky in the restaurant also.

Renovated rooms are nice, but very small. The bathroom configuration is extremely small. No A/C which caught us by surprise, although the hotel did provide a fan, which helped. Grounds are very nice, bar area has a nice vibe as does that sitting area. Beautiful views of the Saint Lawrence.
