Amazing place, the food is very tasty. I choose Crab Cakes, Mashed potatoes, Japanese Beef meatballs, and also one Brownie. All the items were satisfactory. I really loved the Brownie, Japanese Beef meatballs and mashed potatoes. I didn't like the crab cakes that much though. The price I felt bit expensive, however it was worthy. I will come back here again. Loved it!!!
Best Meatballs in town that's for sure! I would go lighter on the ginger for the Moscow mule cocktail but other than everything was perfect. We pratically have 60% of the whole menu so I can attest to their delicious food. The fried Calamari wasn't that great but the tuna and beef Tartare made up for it. Overall, a good place for a good price.
Amazing Wedding Venue!!! This July, we had our wedding ceremony and reception of 46 people at Meatball House and it was the best choice we could have made. We initially chose this venue for its location, interior decor, amazing food and very affordable price to reserve the entire restaurant for the night. Guillaume the owner was always available and quick to respond to our many emails when we had questions about the set up, menu, logistics, etc. The fact that they served the food family style and had a menu that was adult and child friendly and could accommodate our few vegan and gluten free guests really sold us. The night of the wedding, Guillaume and his team were incredible. They served non-alcoholic cocktails when guests arrived, and throughout the night the wait staff were very kind, quick when serving and always filled an empty glass before our guests had to ask! The food arrived hot and delicious and our guests repeatedly told us that it was the best food they've had at a wedding. There was plenty of food and guests were able to ask for more of a dish if they wanted more; everyone left very full! Every menu item, from the starters to the dessert was incredible. Guillaume made payment very easy. We cannot say Thank You enough to Guillaume and his team, they truly made our wedding a perfect night. If you are looking for a small, intimate and romantic city wedding, with amazing food and great service, and very affordable!, we HIGHLY recommend Meatball House! Photography by Sara-Maude Ravenelle
I love meatballs, so when I learned about this restaurant, I just had to try it. What a huge disappointment. I tried 4 types of meatballs beef, pork, veal, lamb. They all had a major problem: the meat used is very lean, and it is ground way too much. This makes the meatballs taste powdery, instead of luscious. They also hold shape poorly, falling apart when cut. Meatballs are supposed to be comfort food, but the poor technique used here has robbed the meatballs of their soul. What is particularly irritating is that the food is beautifully plated, so if you were to go by looks rather than substance, you would think this is great. Also, the sauces of the four meatballs ranged from good to very good, which means the chef clearly has talent except in doing the one thing the restaurant is supposed to be best at.
Meatballs were delicious!!! However the service was very slow. I would definitely go back to try other flavours on the menu , it’s a very unique and nice concept. The venue is gorgeous also they have a terasse it’s quite small however
Exquisite food! I wish I had taken some photos before we chowed-down, but it was just too delicious to wait. I loved the tapas-style cuisine. We ordered 2 styles of beef balls and the pork balls which were all melt-in-your-mouth, potato wedges that were perfectly seasoned and had a nice lime-sour cream dipping sauce on the side, as well as a beet and goat cheese salad ehich was both delicious and beautifully presented like a tartare. Hats off to the cook behind the bar! The sugar pie I had for dessert was also very nicely presented, and was very sweet. Will definitely be returning!
It was my birthday and our waiter really made my evening special. He offered on the house sparkling water and gave us one additional meatball in every one of our meatball dishes! The drinks are also good. I was really impressed by the roasted beet salad. As a vegetarian, I was more than satisfied with the options they have. The decor is nice too. We sat by the big window, almost felt like we were on a terrace. I really enjoyed this place and highly recommend it!
Cute little place with good food. We had the beef tartar to start and it was absolutely delicious. Tried 3 kinds of meatballs and all tasted good for the most part. Did not really like the shrimp one, but thats just me.
Staff took excellent care of us and was well aware of our reservation. Some of the food didnt wow but some like the veal didnt disappoint. Had vege options also. Wished it stayed open past 11 though. We were NOT rushed out however
This meal was seriously amazing. The location is great, there is tons of light and big windows. Perfect for grabbing a bite with friends yet quiet enough to get work done if that's what you're looking for. There are veggie options as well - red lentil meatballs are mouthwateringly good. I'll definitely be back!
