Good food. Amazing people! Ambiance can be improved, the metallic chairs were annoying if you had to move but food was amazing. We were a group and placed separate orders, i was the last to place the order and had to wait - the guy gave me something complimentary and tbh it was even better than what i had ordered probably an off menu thing. It was Lamb Kebab with Iraqi roti that was toasted. Overall it was a good experience. I really hope they start giving toasted iraqi roti instead of just out of the packet one, the toasted one will be more better and customers would definitely like it more. If you haven't eaten here yet, you are missing out! Everything is fresh and delicious, and with their portion sizes you are guaranteed to leave the restaurant with a full stomach. The owner was incredibly welcoming, thoughtful and friendly. I will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!Food: 5/5

We had 2 chicken kebab platters that were delicious. Very nice mix of herbs in the rice. Really like the saffron. The yoghurt sauce was fantastic. Fresh baked bread in house was delicious. Very friendly staff. Service was great. A few dine in tables and takeout is available. You go up to order your food, menu is on the wall. Lots of parking in this shared lot for the businesses in the mall. We will go again and recommend this restaurant if you like middle eastern food.

Superb customer service The owner is very friendly and easy to talk to. Their Iraqi bread is home made and so light and tasty Beef and lamb kebab was on point. I also took the half chicken combo. So yummy and unique tasting. Big portions. Will keep you satiafied and think of the food for long time. Definitely going back again to eat the other items. The first Iraqi restaurant in Winnipeg and they are just nailing it. Very happy to have this great restaurant in Winnipeg. Give star!

Winnipeg's only Iraqi restaurant serves up large proportions, tasty food and friendly service with very reasonable prices, my definition of fIne dining. The place is small, in a strip mall on Pembina highway that has no pretention, as you can eat in or takeout. If you want meat, you won't be disappointed! I left overly full barely able to eat the whole dish. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Just finished my lunch at Ashur. I just loved their Beef Donair Platter and chicken shawarma wrap. Shish Tawuq was also good. All the Kabab are so tasty, tender and juicy. Iraqi bread was as good as the other food. However, rice was little dry which I don’t recommend. I’m gonna have their food again.Recommended dishesBeef Kebab Platter, Half Chicken

Another authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in town! Freshly cooked, great portion, and taste delicious. Their falafel, kebab and shawarma plate with huge bread on top, veggies, and sauces garlic, and hummus was my favorite dish.

This is the place to go! Today was my first visit and it is already a place I know I will visit many, many times! The food is delicious! So flavorful and aromatic The portions are huge and you can tell they have dedicated a lot of time to getting their food combinations to be perfectly balanced and cooked to perfection! The prices are amazing for what you get and you will NOT leave hungry! If you can't imagine it getting any better, let me tell you, it does! The family who runs this business are the nicest and friendliest people you could ever meet. I have never had Middle Eastern food before and the owner spent time with us to explain the different food options and ask us our preferences. After dining here you feel as though you have enjoyed a homemade feast with friends. I feel as though it is one of Winnipeg's best kept secrets when it comes to restaurants, and it shouldn't be! So get the word out and try it for yourself. You will love everything about Ashur restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Definitely a welcoming atmosphere for all!

Arrived near closing, but service was friendly & food was fresh. Very tasty, but too much onions for me. I’ll ask for less next time. Open kitchen seemed quite clean. Minimal drink selection & no dessert, but the server said they’d be adding sweets to the menu soon. Food: 5/5
