Their mutton biriyani is the best biriyani I've ever had! This place is one of my favorite and the chicken curry was too spicy for me but my husband who's in love with spicy foods really enjoyed it. We tried noodles which was also good. The tastes good, prices decent. Highly recommend!
This is 3rd time i bought from the take out place, the food is so disgusting. The food is old and taste stale. First time i bought puttu mix and it was all dry and hard to bite, it was clearly from days old, heat up the leftover puttu and made puttu mix. I am from sri lanka, ive visited many restaurants in GTA, this is the worst of all. I would never recommend anyone to go here. They put leftovers in the fridge and heat it up for next day.
First time coming here. Amazing Sri Lankan food! Everything was so tasty. We got the veggie thali and mutton biryani. Both on the spicy side.
This is the best Sri Lankan style food joint in toronto. I have tried food from this place few times and thought of doing a review. 1. Best kotthu hands down. The roti is cut into small pieces and genrous amount of meat and vegies compared to other places. 2. Best lump rice. I have rried few other places in toronto but no one can beat this. It is super. 3. Fried rice is perfect. With generous amount of vegies and meat. So tasty. 4. String hopper kottu. Big portions and on par with other places but super good. 5.Bhiriyani could be improved but it is good quality as well. The egg plant moju is on point. 6. Snacks such as samosas rolls and rotis are perfect. Really good food. Best collection of foods. Reasonable pricea compared to the portion. #1 in toronto for Sri Lankan foods.
They taste good and i am surprised about there prices. So i went there and order 40 samosa, the employee was so kind and sweet. She right away packed it and asked for anything else. It was good experience. And also they have tons of variety of food. I was like whaaaat . So goood. And even the food is delicious. The first time my friend brought me there. Then i went there the second time. I would say taste and treatment are top notch. Keep it up.
This is the best food place for those Sri-Lankans out there. This is the best tamil food place in Vaughan that i’ve been to so far. Their food tasted really good especially their mutton rolls. Arun bakery wonderland is the best tamil food place. 5 Stars.
If you like spicy food then this is the place for you. Everything is very flavorful and very spicy. Huge portions. Lots of vegetarian options. Super nice service.
Amazing place, awesome people, excellent white bread. And it’s always open. Absolutely my favourite place to buy samosas on Christmas day
Visited Arun Bakery the other day in an unassuming plaza beside Canada's Wonderland. This takeout place has a good reputation for South Asian food so we came to check out why. We found it a bit strange that there were no menus but they were friendly enough to explain, and I guess the regulars know exactly what to order! The specialty here is Sri Lankan food. We tried two curry dishes about $7 each with roti bread. True to the cuisine, both exploded with amazing flavour & heat from the first bite. The chicken curry was more creamy while the mutton curry was darker in depth like a red-hot caudron. The chunky pieces of protein were tender, and they were surprisingly generous with the portions. The spice level is likely unbearable to some, but at least they're authentic and don't hold back. The samosas were also worth trying: their veggie samosas about $1 for 3 were well-seasoned with potato/lentil filling and a nice crisp pastry skin. I've been told that Indian food becomes hotter as you try southern cuisine, and the island of Sri Lanka is off the southern tip so be warned! Arun Bakery has been open for about 10 years and seems to be a hidden gem. We'll certainly be back when we need another fix of deliciously spicy curries and other treats.
I have been this place few times all the time the food was so bad one day bought mutton Buriyani there is no mutton at all all I found was big pieces of bone and only end of eating rice and the Buriyani was so dried After bought puttu but it was just a raw flour not even cooked the customer service is so poor when ever call them to place an order always they are in a rush and don’t even bother listening what we trying to order the mutton roll have no mutton but the price are so expensive also I will never go this place again just loosing money and don’t get proper food
