Yesterday, I went to this location to submit my passport renewal application. I observed the agents behind their counters providing various federal government services to local residents, including Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, Social Insurance Numbers, passport services, and support for benefits like the Canada Child Disability Tax Credit and disability benefits. I appreciated the convenience of having this government centre in downtown Arnprior, as it was easily accessible. The agents demonstrated compassion and patience when responding to inquiries from the public. While I was waiting, a kind and young agent approached me and offered to assist with my documents to ensure I had completed all the necessary fields. Fortunately, he identified some omitted responses, and my passport pictures were not ideal due to the date stamp being barely legible as the ink had not dried. I would need to have them redone. He also suggested alternative options to expedite my passport application, recommending that I submit it at Service Canada in Meadowlands or Gatineau and pay for expedited processing to collect my passport when ready. This young man took the time to explain everything, provide assistance, and was a wealth of information. When I left, he even opened the door for me. I commend this centre for its excellent service...
Came to do baby's passport, photo was rejected which is understandable.nI was told to come back the next day.nThe next day they where closed due to ongoing renovations .nnIt's not like if they didn't know the sidewalks would be redone out of the blue , I drove all the way from ottawa for nothing.
We went to Service Canada Arnprior today July 21st to report a family death and submit the application for the Death Benefit. It was our first time doing this. We met with the most courteous and knowledgeable young man who extended his condolences for our loss first and foremost. What great service! That kind of service is hard to find these days. 5 stars! And the wait time was minimal!
What a great experience! I walked in, staff is smiling eager to help. Sophia took the time to guide me through my CPP and old age pension. No line, no waiting, small town hospitality 20 minute drive outside of Ottawa much better than long lines highly recommend this site. This is the way to go for your all your ServiceOntario needs
I went to this office back in Dec trying to avoid line-ups in Ottawa. The staff was friendly, and very quick. However, they unfortunately failed to recognize that the passport photos I provided did not meet the necessary requirements. A month after I applied, someone from Passport Canada called to say that I needed to re-do the photos - and that was a surprise to me since I assumed that the people at this passport office would have identified any problems when I submitted my paperwork in person. We are now close to two months, and I am still waiting for my passport. The failure of staff here to assess and apply the photo requirements has resulted in unnecessary delays and stress given that I am booked to travel in the next few days. So, I would say - if you are in the Ottawa region, I would recommend going to the passport offices in Ottawa or Gatineau, not here.
