Armstead Campground

We stayed here recently, and the prices are very low, but you get what you pay for. The bathroom was appalling, only curtains for doors, and one toilet in the women's was right out in the open, no enclosure. The site is so close to the highway, and while the noise didn't bother me, every vehicle's headlights lit up our tent. The lady who runs it is super friendly and laid back, but there's rarely someone around when you need someone, or a way to reach them. And I don't know what it is about campsites in general, even that close to the highway, there is no service. All along the highway is service, but right next to it, there's none. Very weird.

Perfect place to stay when visiting the lake or river. Fly shop on site is first class.

This is not the actual location of the Armstead Campground. the campground is on the east side of Rt. 15.
