Don't know what went wrong. I was excited to try this place and l was not happy. I spent 50 plus 4$ tip included to support local business and this is what I ended up getting: old food. The rice was hard and you can't even eat it. The churros was cold and dry. I don't typically give bad reviews because I know how much a restaurant needs customers right now ...But, this was just upsetting. Cold and day old food is what I got.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. The food was inedible. The dough of the arepas, tequeños tites and empanadas was undercooked. We ordered one queen arepa and when we opened the box, the arepa was totally broken. Also, the chicken had too many onions and peppers, you could even smelled it. We also ordered Platano con queso empanada, and there were snack size. It doesn’t worth to paid $6 for that. Moreover, the plantain was not even cooked. A waste of money and time because we had to cooked our breakfast.
Very good tequeños. I had the queen arepa as well. I use to buy from the other location the mix plate they offered. It is a good way to get familiar with some of their products and with Venezuela’s food. An update Dec. 13 2020. - the portion of tequeños was not as great as the first time. It significantly decrease the size. Last picture is from the update. As a result I took a star down.
I had the Guiado arepa and my husband had the Pabellio arepa with chicken both were delish. Filling for sure but the tastes are so good they leave you wanting more. Will be back and intend to eat my way through the menu.
We got the Guaido Arepa, Cheese Empanada and Carne Mechada Empanada for lunch. The food came with a side hot sauce and side garlic sauce. The food was incredible! It was packed full of fresh flavors. The sauces were house made and really hit the spot. I'm definately going back again.
Had a very tasty empanada here - it was crisp and satisfying! Today was actually the first time we realized this was a food shop. We've passed by it all the time believing that it was a clothes store because the storefront decor was so cute and clean-looking. I was lucky I happened to see the menu sign, because the food was so good!
Okay like neeeever take the time to review food places mostly because I'm lazy but I ordered this via Door Dash and it BLEW MY MIND. SOOOOO TASTY. Seriously had the best arepa I've ever had in my life ...the meat was perfectly seasoned and don't get me started on how good the cheese was. I don't know how more people don't know about this place but a solid 10/10 from me, you need to try it.
The empanadas had the best shape I ever seen. Well worth the price.
I ordered with Ritual and the attendant only accepted my order when I arrived and I had to wait 15 min for my order to be ready. The Pabellón Empanada was frozen cold on the inside even thou the crust was nicely fried. I also tried cheese and plantain empanada and the plantain wasn’t ripe enough. The Mechada empanada was tasty enough but not with the real Venezuelan flavor kick.
