Amazing rental for a party or occasion. I was there for a baby shower, and it had ample room for over 30 people. The rental came equipped with tables, chairs, a full kitchen, and an outdoor second floor patio.
Montreal Model Train Exposition was back at the Dorval Arena! It brought us a magic world, including Thomas the Tank Engine and Harry Potter the Hogwarts Express. There was even a battlefield for RC tanks!!! Everything came to life thanks to the enthusiasts who spared no effort in putting bits and pieces together, in order to offer us a great show. Sunday at 10.30 am the parking was already full, despite a beautiful day, proving that the expo still has the potential to capture people’s attention. For those interested, train sets, parts, models, books etc were on sale around the trains. People were sharing tips, tricks, their experience in modeling. Kids were very excited, it really was a difficult job to convince them not to touch the moving trains… Interesting fact, I met a nice lady who was assembling models on-site, she told me about a Scale Modelers Group Meet & Workshop, a group of scale models enthusiasts. The group can be found on Facebook: Montreal Scale Modellers Association. They get together once a month to show their plastic models, discuss modeling techniques and even swap models any type of plastic models, any era, any scale. In conclusion, it was a great experience, and I cannot wait for the next event!
The arena has been renovated. The rooms are a little small. Parking is ample. There is free WiFi. The spectator seats are comfortable and have a back rest. The stands are heated.
