Staff is friendly but unfortunately the animals are kept in bad conditions, their enclosures don’t seem to be cleaned enough and the store reeked of strong ammonia everytime I went there. It also lacks ventilation and is really warm. Got two animals from there, one died of respiratory disease when brought back and the other contaminated my current pets with external parasites.
Went to buy some shrimp with my son. Excellent service and very friendly staff. Happy to support a local store. Will be sure to return!

This store has new owners and they seem to really care about their store, their animals and their clients. They are very helpful and they strive to make their clients happy. I have a shitsu and I plan on using their grooming services and buying his food there as well. I have a fish pond and the owner assured me that I would be able to find all my pond supplies at his store and if the items are not in stock, he would order what I need. What a great attitude to develop fidelity from clients and keep them coming back.
We got 2 little piggies the staff was incredible and I am so inlove with my new fur creatures - amazing place they were so nice and had great selection of guinea pig toys and houses
Fantastic store and service. Bought my daughter her first hamster here. Staff seem to VERY courteous. I phoned ahead of time, and they were also very courteous on the phone Anyone who says otherwise note the one negative post here I would reckon are probably dealing with there own personal issues...

I have never in my life, come across a business that is so, sooo, friendly. There are no words that can explain the way the staff makes you feel here. It’s like being on a TV show with the crocodile hunter type of vibe. They have a few selections of animals you can purchase, yet they make you feel as if you are in a Zoo full o fly Magic. I came all the way down from Barrhaven, while checking out other fish stores along the way and can tell you that this is the place to be. The friendliest staff I have ever met in any business. Me being so customer friendly with my customers while at work made me realize how amazing that first experience truly is. If you are reading reviews to see if this place is worth coming to I can guaranteed it will be one of the best places you have ever been. The Lady with the orange hair and the gentleman that owns the parrot are absolutely amazing. Please check it out and see what I mean
