I went to an after party here and I didn't stay long. It seemed like a cute place but I had a few issues with it. The music was so insanely loud it physically hurt, and even yelling in my boyfriend's ear at the far end away from the dj we couldn't make out conversation, and had to communicate through text. But if you know ASL then I guess it's not a problem? The atmosphere was cool but it was so dark, as a server and bartender it almost seemed like they were hiding something... Like if the glasses and tables weren't actually clean, but to some people that doesn't matter I guess. Also for this experience we had to pay $10/pp at the door and they only accepted cash.
Been going here for years. Mixed crowed and more of a younger crowd but always a good atmosphere. The music will always be different but you can definitely find a night and have a good time.
Great bar, but the bouncers truly ruin it. White guy in the pony tail has the biggest power trip on earth, acting as if hes airport security. Only come if you have girls with you, dont even bother if you’re all guys. Pony tail man really out here runing peoples nights for no reason, like calm down. Aside from him the interior is great music as well.
We went and a guy in a blue jays jacket and a poiny tail rudely asked in my face to leave our table. He hovered by me too close then went to the only guy in my group and then said “this table is reserved leave” and proceeds to grab my friend by his neck and aggressively force him out before asking him to even leave. I looked over at my friend being aggressively forced out and tried to push this man off of him. I said you don’t grab people like that and he kicked me out. While we were outside of the bar he said “you’re lucky I didn’t push him down the stairs”. I don’t think that’s how you treat people, and threatening a person of ANY gender is unacceptable. Avoid this bar. I spoke to the security next door about what happened and they said “threatening to push people down the stairs isn’t our style”. Avoid this bar- I worry for people as security is aggressive. There are plenty of friendly bars in Toronto :
The DJ that was hosting Saturday September 3rd was the worst DJ I have ever experienced visiting a club downtown Toronto. This place has potential to be a great club but whoever that DJ was must be reevaluated. Such a terrible experience. Never coming back due to the quality of music.
Terrible experience. I am currently disabled and recovering from breaking 4 bones in my foot and while I can walk, I bring a cane with me in case I get sore or fall. Security at the door questioned me really heavily upon arrival regarding whether I needed it or not. She said it can be used as a weapon and would have to ask the owner if I could bring it in. She came out after talking with the owner and said if it’s not for medical purposes then I can’t bring it. I felt really pressured to not bring it in because we had already been waiting 15 minutes to find out if I could enter with my cane and felt bad for making my friends wait so I went in without it. Not a very accommodating place for anyone with a disability. Really poor judgement call on the security guard as it was a cane from shoppers clearly not an accessory and I was limping?? Called the owner the next morning to complain and he seemed to be really apologetic and said he would talk to security about it and hope he actually does.
AVOID THIS BAR Went here last night with friends. After sitting at our table for awhile, one of the security wearing a Blue Jays jacket and had a ponytail came over and rudely told us our table had been “reserved” and that we had to leave. He hovered over us while we gathered our things before grabbing my friend by his neck and dragging him out. Once we all got outside he told us “you’re lucky I didn’t push him down the stairs”. It was completely unnecessary and over the top. Anyone who escalates to violence and threats like that should not be in a position of power. We honestly should’ve reported it to the police. I will never spend my money at this bar again and I caution others to avoid it. Not worth getting assaulted over nothing.
Apt 200 cool club for people ages 18-34 or anyone else that loves that university and Victoria feel partying. Monday friday and saturdays are typically really litty there. Monday is super crazy but you need to either have bottle services. The best day for women or those who identify as such are Wednesday’s as women are free and the men have to pay.
Nice place, nice people BUT awful DJ he played rap all along the night while everybody was asking for dancing songs. WHAT the point to play music rap at a club during 3h! People were leaving because of the song. So frustrating, we were ready to have fun but at the end we didn’t. the bartender doesn’t know how to make cocktails The place has a lot of potential but unsatisfied experience because of the DJ!
I love this , place and the new location too, it's a place where you can go for drink while listening to live music , it's always a fun crowd and they have two areas one right in front of the band and other at the back where is a little bit more chilled and chat friendly
