The Apsley Inn was a perfect overnighter for us. The hosts were extremely hospitable and accommodating. The dinner of fish and chips was reasonably priced and very well turned out, breakfast of omelettes was huge and tasty. The perfect stay when you are on a road trip. Thank you Apsley Inn. Recommend! Parking: Loads of free parking. Drive up to door.
Trucker friendly. Friendly people and was more than welcome to accommodate a Semi and trailer. Conveniently located by Covie Plant. My company will be using their services in the future.Rooms: 4/5
Stopped here on our weekend away. We were surprised to see they had an Indian menu alongside more traditional American foods. The Indian food was fantastic, the price was super reasonable I mean run, don't walk for a meal at this price in these times! and the gentleman in the restaurant was super kind and seemed like he genuinely wanted us to have a good experience. Would go again if I was in this neck of the woods!
It was a great little place to stop for breakfast on the way out of coming from Algonquin Park. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and simple favourites. Had the standard eggs and sausage platter and was more than satisfied. Overheard and visibly saw that their pancakes were one of the best around the area. Next time! If you're on the road and need to stop for a quick bite to eat from a mom and pop operation around the Apsley area stop here. Parking: Parking was easily accessible, lots of space and simple to exit from due to a good line of sight.
Quaint roadside place, friendly staff, backing onto a nice little little creek. Food was good - nothing fancy, but tasty and reasonably priced.Food: 4/5
We were travelling through to the cottage and thought we would stop in. Very friendly folks ... a heartwarming welcome. Food was great. We will stop again as now very curious about their Indian menu Suggestions: we were not made aware of the Indian Menu until we were paying at the register. Otherwise would definately have ordered. Might be a more pleasant table experience if condiments were not the little packages but containers. We will try again as the Indian Food reviews are a draw.
We tried the Indian food last night. It was mediocre unfortunately. We had ordered butter chicken and paneer in a tomato sauce and unfortunately they both came in the same sauce and was very watery with not much flavor. It wasn’t bad but it just wasn’t all that good. I know there are new owners right now so hopefully this will improve but our first try of the Indian food from these new owners did not turn out well and we won’t be trying it again anytime soon unfortunately. I will say the spinach samosas were the best part and I did enjoy those but everything else wasn’t as flavourful as I hoped.
They really do have juicy burgers! Not a fancy place, as suggested by being an Inn, but nice family restaurant.Food: 4/5
As this place is under new ownership, I highly recommend staying here. After hearing bad things from the locals, they are not true anymore. Joy and her family have really cleaned the place up. I had the curry with rice which I highly recommend. The rooms are newly renovated and so clean.
