My family stayed in the cottage and couldn't have been happier. The owner and staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with many new items (we really made use of the new ceramic cookware). The beds were very cozy and because of the location, it was also quiet, so we all slept very well. We stayed there in the winter and the temps were extremely cold so the huge big screen TV was very welcome, and it had full cable instead of the limited cable most hotels have. Also there were TV's in all the bedrooms so there was no arguing over what to watch. I can't say enough about the staff, they made us feel at home, it was a pleasure and we will be back.

AppleCreek is located in Fish Creek and unfortunately we didn't have a positive experience. Our reservation was booked online by a mobile app at around 8:30pm of the night that we were to stay. We requested a late check-in & I quickly checked my phone to confirm that we did have a reservation. When we did arrive late, we found the front door locked & it was dark. I tried calling several times but no answer. The message did say " if this is a Serious Health Emergency 1st call (they listed a phone #, I'll call it #1), if they don't answer, call #2, if they don't answer...#3, #4)!! If someone does need help, I hope they call 911!! I found out later that if you read the entire confirmation, they close at 10pm & you must notify them prior to that or you're out of luck. I believe by notifying them that I needed late check-in, that obviously means after 10pm. I think of all of the people that have been locked out due to various reasons -car trouble or a flat tire (cell phone service can be unpredictable in Door County), a delayed flight etc.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great for riding our bikes to Peninsula State Park and was close to many other places we wanted to go on our first trip to Door County. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again if we have opportunity to return. The front desk was most accommodating and friendly.

Awesome place to stay! Friendly staff and good location make for an enjoyable stay. Pool and hot tub a plus.

Exceptional management and staff! Very friendly and accommodating!! Room very nice and clean. Loved the pool and whirlpool again spotless. I would have given all 5 stars except for the fact that their handicapped accessible room, isn't really all that accessible. My husband is very mobile and independent, but the beds are about 4 inches too high. And they sink in the middle.Not sure how they work for elderly folks. Also suggest having someone in a wheelchair show what is needed. The TV was great except it would have been better viewing had it been mounted on the wall.
