Appeldoorn's Sunset Bay Resort offers one of a kind cabin rentals with one of the best locations on Lake Mille Lacs. Our rental units range from studio rooms or cabins to a large ten bedroom home! We are sure to have lodging to fit any size group. Known for our sand beach, great fishing, and family feel we are sure to have great activities to offer all ages and interests. Our new Lodge and Event Center opening in May 2012 will surely add to the services Appeldoorn's is able to offer. The rooms are extremely clean and we'll kept. The resort has all the amenities you need and great area for kids including a playground and game room. There is also a nice bar/restaurant. The only suggestion I would make it that there is a microwave, fridge and little kitchen area in the condos but there are no eating utinsels aside from a few coffee mugs and a small bottle of dish soap. So if you bring food with you for a weekend stay or to cook over their firepits you will need to bring plates, silverware, etc which is kinda of a hassle.

We come here every year. It's always a pleasant stay. The cabins are well kept, and they continue to improve the grounds each year. The staff are very friendly and we always feel welcome. Definitely recommend.

Cabin was nice. Overall a nice facility. They're strict when it comes to wedding receptions however. Renting their boat or jetski is outrageous. They wanted 800 dollars to rent a jet ski per day. Other than this the grounds were nice and so were the cabins.

Appledoorn's is a very nice spot on the lake. Cabins were clean and quaint, with all the necessities! Office hours were kind of weird, but we were able to check into the cabin with a key code just fine. Overall, i'd definitely stay again.

Loved staying at this place. Didn't have enough in Minnesota with my son and his wife and my grandson. Would stay again !!! The sunset.
