Aphrodite Spa & Nails

I was a walk-in to Aphrodite today at 3:02 PM, looking for a Shellac manicure, and a regular pedicure. As it's Sunday afternoon, I expected it to be busy and to either have to wait or be told to come back another day . There was one woman waiting ahead of me - the salon owner said that it would be a 10-15 minute wait. Great, fine. Another woman came after me, requesting the exact same services as me with no appointment. 20 minutes later, both of those women had been started and the salon employee then came to me and asked me to choose my polish colour. Strike One. I asked the manager if they were busy that day, because I was ok with coming back another time - she said "No, it's fine". My spidey senses still tingled. Through my pedicure, I noticed 3 other groups of people come in and 2 individuals and the salon manager accommodate them by either telling them to come back or wait. Halfway through my pedicure, the manager came to ONLY me and said that she wasn't able to do my manicure that day or put polish on my toes, and I would have to leave ASAP, because they were "too busy" and they would have to prioritize appointments -- even though they were open for another 3+ hours. Strike Two. I asked her why me and not any of the other walk-ins that had come before or after me -- and she just continued to blandly apologize. The whole thing made me angry and wondering if she was discriminating against me, being the only young-presenting WOC in the salon at the time. When my poorly done, no-polish pedicure was completed, the manager had the balls to charge me $38.50 with no apologies, discount for future services or acknowledgement of the poor service. Strike Three+++. It is disingenuous to start a service you can't fulfill, to not give me the option to leave before you start or choose which service I wanted to do if the time was limited. To then insist I pay full price with no abatement for me being treated so poorly and having my time wasted, just tops the whole thing off as one of the worst salon experiences of all time. Buyer beware doesn't even begin to describe it . . . Take your money elsewhere.

The air stinks I felt like fainting and vomiting,The staff were very rude.Please go to somewhere where they care about the air and costomers,Desurves 1 Star indeed.

I had my eyebrows done here and they look the best that they ever have !!! The service is amazing and the staff are very skilled and experienced! I will definitely return !

Accommodated a three person, same-day nail appointment :) They were welcoming but professional, $19 for manicure and $35 for shellac. Jenny did my nails, and spent a lot of time prepping the hands and cuticles. She also thankfully filed my nails as opposed to cutting them at my request, I wanted to save some of their length. Her actual nail job looked nice, though not quite perfect (she didn't go all the way to the cuticles). She did 3 coats. My biggest complaint is that I got shellac, which supposedly lasts 2 weeks, but by the third day they were peeling off. They lasted about 6 days, very very unsatisfied that I paid $35 and they didn't last, but perhaps they used old nail polish? My friends and I were quite chatty and I feel bad that we might have been loud because we were all super giggly, so one of my friend's technicians asked her to stop moving a little bit aggressively, but it was probably necessary. The spa space itself is lovely.

Very rude staff, especially the manager. She always has an attitude, is disrespectful, rushes through her work and is not careful. Would not recommend this location.
