Apex Medical Clinic

I’ve been to this clinic many times due to the convenience. There have been many occasions where I have booked an appointment and still had to wait hours before being seen. My last visit the doctor even told me to go find my own family doctor even though their sign says they are looking for new patients. Today I went back in for something that I thought would be quick and due to my sore throat they would not allow me to be in the clinic so they said the doctor would call. I was then told i would receive a phone call around 10am when I went in there for 9am when it opened and it’s 3:45pm and still haven’t received a phone call. Safe to say it’s the last time I’ll ever deal with this place. I get the feeling that they truly don’t care about their patients and concerns or take their job seriously. I hope that this review will help others by going to another clinic where you won’t have to wait long and feel cared for. I understand it can’t get busy but they could at least communicate that to their patients.

A colleague called this clinic to ask if he could bring his sick 1 year old daughter to the clinic because she had a fever and was vomiting. The receptionist who took the call told my colleague that the clinic doesn't see patients like that and asked my colleague to call 811 service. First of all, the customer service skills of this receptionist is very much lacking and needs to be re-trained. I was going through their reviews on line and am like that's why they only have 2.1 stars. Be ware when you go to visit this clinic and visit it at your own risk , cause if this is what the receptionist is like what does that say about the doctors working there. Again that this is my opinion but it's a food for thought for anybody seeking medical services from this clinic.

Worst clinic ever!!! You call yourself a walk in clinic and advertising for accepting new patients well my daughter was decline. She had a severe allergic reaction and could barely see out of her eye and the receptionist was like sorry appointments only and they have only one doctor especially since my daughter have never been there before. I’m like where can I go?? My family doctor is closed and you guys who claim to be a walk in clinic is refusing service. Absolutely sickening and they have the guts to ask me why am I arguing with her?! Well yeah! You are refusing service when you claim to be a walk in clinic and advertising to take in new patients well I trying to get a doctor to look at my daughter’s eye that is physically swollen and red. I drove over to another walk in clinic and thankfully they are willing to take my daughter in no problem at all. I can see why this clinic have only a 2 star rating.

Wow. My friend recommended them because my family Dr. is closed on Sundays. It was 4pm when I heard about them, website says they close at 5pm. I got there at 4:25, the doors were open, but they refused to take me. I told them that I just need antibiotics for a recurring issue that could spread to my kidneys. They just said, “sorry were not taking any more clients today.” even though I was the only client in the room. … Just lock yours doors in that case, or write online that you close at 4 so that I don’t waste my gas. Honestly, don’t people get into medicine to help people in need? I wish I could give 0 stars.

I stopped going since March since the receptionists are incompetent and think they are doctors and get to decided your fate if your symptoms are related to COVID or not and whether you get to see the doctor. I knew something was serious since I felt a pain I never had in my life. The doctor didn't even bother to check my vitals or do a thorough exam. If she did she would have recognize that I had a high blood pressure and that It was contributed to pancreatitis. Do not go there as your life can depend on it.

Absolute joke of a clinic. Never doctors available yet they claim to have 6 doctors working here. Always refusing walk ins. Even when I called and they said they were taking walk-ins. No wonder I switched my family doctor from this location. Receptionists are extremely rude and have no empathy or communication skills. Terrible customer service. Doctors also don't care about the patient as they have perscribed me wrong medication multiple times. Avoid at all cost.

Advertise that they offer walk ins. Come in to the reception desk that says “no more walks ins today at 4:50 pm and they are open until 8. Also says they are fully booked tomorrow and can get me in on Thursday. Sorry, when you need a walk in it’s fairly time sensitive and urgent, so guess I’ll have to go spend 8 hrs in the ER just to get a simple skin infection treated that only needs antibiotics. Thanks for nothing. This is a walk in clinic that doesn’t offer walk ins when you need them.

Worst Clinic in Calgary!!!- do not go here!!! I went there because I couldn't get into my regular doctor hence, a walk in clinic and the doctor wouldn't help me. He kept saying ask your regular doctor, I can't read his mind....aren't you a doctor too?!!? He was just giving me test results and he read me the numbers and would not offer suggestions on how to fix the problems, he just said "be brave and shoved me out the door. The front desk staff are incrediblt rude with zero people skills, and I was the ONLY person asked to wear a mask!!! Because of the horribly run clinic and incompetent staff I would NEVER recommend you visit this clinic.

I wish i could give zero star for the front staff. Called them at 8:59am and its 10:07am no answered yet. Press 9 after an hour of hold and answered at 10:03 and said this is an emergency and do not press this number and said it is an emergency my mom is really sick and put on hold again. After 7 minutes front staff answered and said CAN YOU PLEASE HOLD and i said i am on hold from last one hour and 10 minutes but its 10:11am now and still no answer. Been a patient from last 7 years no complains with doctors but front staff is literally not doing anything. There service is getting bad day by day. Getting paid for nothing. Hire some good staff.

I was just hung up on because I was asking how it makes to demand a covid test before being seen?? The receptionist continually talked over me and refused to answer my question, I told her to connect me with the person to logged a complaint and she didn't know who that was...during the lock down I was NOT required to have a negative test to be seen nor was I even asked if I had any symptoms...then was made to wait almost 2 hours just to be told i was last on the list to be seen as a walk in yet 3 others who i heard say they didnt have an appointment were seen to right away, someone pleaae explain....or better yet dont waste ur time and DO NOT GO HERE!! It is a joke of a clinic!!
