First time here today and not the last. Had the classic poutine, cheeseburgers, Montreal smoked meat sandwich, vanilla soft serve, hurricane ice cream, banana split. Great spot and we inhaled everything. Will come back soon!
I'm not really a poutine expert and am generally easy to please when it comes to this dish. For example, I think the Costco one is great. But the one at Anny's is definitely one of the best I've had anywhere. What sets it apart for me is the gravy but, most importantly, the curds. Usually the curds are an afterthought to me, just a tasteless something that adds gooey texture. But the ones used here were instantly noticeable from the first bite. I actually made a mental note saying "hey these curds are really good!" There's a nice taste to them. The service was super nice too and quick and there seemed to be quite a few regulars.
Their maple butter on soft serve is unique and tasty. The vanilla soft serve reminds me of Costco soft serve but here it has maple swirls. They also have poutine and pineapple Fanta so it's like a great place to treat yourself to comfort food. The service was also very friendly :
Hands down the best soft serve ice cream I ever had in my existence! The maple swirl is to die for! Poutine is incredibly tasty and I am so glad our friends told us about this place. And we live in New West!!
Delicious poutine! Cheese curds were squeaky and generous. Gravy was thick, hot and, most importantly, not overly salty. The meat added a nice smokey highlight. Maple Twist soft serve was also quite good.
Came here for the poutine but was blown away by the vibe. The lady owner? behind the counter was incredibly friendly. There seemed to be a lot of regulars and she seemed to know them all personally and chatting with them like old friends. But what I wasn't expecting was feeling like I was in Montreal. Everyone in the little restaurant was speaking French to each other and having a good time. Small burgers. Tasty poutine. Will have to come back next time to try their soft serve ice cream.
A cute little soft serve parlour and poutinerie in the heart Uptown New Westminster. Good poutine with squeaky cheese curds, just like what you'd get in Quebec. The soft serve is the best I ever had. I definitely recommend this place.
Ok, seriously, everyone should stop by Anny's. The Montreal smoked meat was melt in your mouth and seasoned properly. The poutine was out of this world. The fries are fresh cut and fried, organic cheese curds, and the gravy was delicious. Polished it all off with a Mapletwist cone, phew....best bang for your buck.
I'd heard about this place for a while and decided to drive here all the way from Surrey this past weekend. Let's just say the trip was worth it. The owner was really friendly and was quick to get us our orders. The maple ice cream really hit the spot and was the perfect size we got smalls, especially since it was so hot that day! I'll definitely be dropping by again and will probably get some poutine too. :
A little taste of Montreal and it is bringing me back and it is pretty comparable. I have found my favourite poutine place in Vancouver area.
