Mom and pop walk up! It’s perfect! The quality is amazing AND it’s half the price of jenis ice cream which is just a block over. Cash only! But very tasty and very friendly!

Walk up, stare at the vast menu from Italian Ice to Puppy Chow Ice Cream, decide how much you want to eat the medium bowl is my style, then you feast. Seriously best Ice cream around, even better than Jenni's. Bring cash.

Annette's is a classic! The Italian ice is a must-have and the fro-yo is yummy as well. My personal favorite is the chocolate Italian ice with fresh strawberries. I love the variety of flavors and toppings! There's always a vegan fro-yo option as well.

The ice cream is nothing but average, just like a supermarket ice cream. On top of this the owner, who is the only person working there, is unfriendly and unpleasant with her customers. It makes you feel as she was doing you a favor just by taking your order, and don't you dare order something that is out of stock or ask for napkins, as she will look at you as if you have just committed a crime. The first two times I went here, I thought "Ok she might have a bad day" , but today was the third time so I had to write the review. Paulo has much better ice cream and the person who takes your order is amazingly friendly!

We had the strawberry banana smoothie and carrot cake ice cream. Both were 5/5: tasted great and seemed like quality ingredients. Giving 4/5 because of the cash only, long and slow line because of understaffing at least have one extra person in there helping you, and the woman looks and acts like she just got back from war yesterday. So ice cream 5/5, everything else okay.

You know it's summertime in Chicago when Italian ice joints reopen. There may be a line but it's worth the wait! Don't let the line fool you either as it goes by quick. You get your order made quick and perfect too. Highly recommend the Italian FroYo, not to be confused with that average froyo frozen yogurt. The ice cream is rich and delicious. Just know that the price is a little high and the sizes are quite large. It will also be important that you bring cash, as its cash only. Plenty of street parking in the area for people driving to get there. They have lots of flavors and plenty of options for all different types of ice cream lovers!

It’s the best Italian ice I’ve ever had. The long line speaks to its deliciousness. Piña colada was good.

Not a fan of the cash only, but the Italian ice and ice cream are AMAZING. Huge variety of flavors and well priced. I came here two days in a row. You cannot go wrong here.

I have gone to Annette’s on summer evenings ever since I was a kid. It is easily a Chicago staple and for any resident of the Lincoln Park area, it is a must-go Italian ice shop. I will often get caramel on a waffle cone. I don’t know why anybody would choose not to get a waffle cone. Go to Annette’s.
