Our Mission: Drs. Newman, Dagnall, Kappes and staff are working to maintain the spirit of service to our community and the high quality of compassionate veterinary care that Dr. Arla Barkemeyer and The Animal Center have provided to the pets and owners of the Helena area for the past 40 years. We are a small animal veterinary hospital providing in-house diagnostices, digital radiology, dentistry and surgical services.

Dr. Haven Leavitt pros: Thorough, gave me good advice (in theory) to take dog to vet opthalmologist (but unfortunately I tried two who where not helpful). Prescribed correct medications for two issues. Cons: May encourage many different tests that add up expensively, very quick tests of which there should not be extra fees for beyond the examination fee (teardrop and eye pressure tests for example). Cannot be counted on to return phone call as could before.

So supportive, friendly, and understanding. They really care about your pet and they try to work with your budget and your Pet's needs. Quick prescription refills and good office hours.

Excellent, caring, knowledgeable, compassionate facility. Nothing but good to say. NOT "money hungry" at all. Have the pets best interests and help if/when they can with costs. You get what you pay for and they are 1st class.
