My approach to counseling is client/task centered. I provide a safe, non judgmental compassionate atmosphere in which the client can restore, maintain or enhance their personal functioning in their environment. I use a mixture of Psychodynamic Therapy- Emphasizes feelings that are often beneath the surface yet still influence your behavior. Cognitive-behavioral Therapy (CBT)- Helps you identify self defeating thoughts and start to develop behaviors that are more constructive. Humanistic Therapy- Helping you to concentrate on your values, goals and priorities rather than your problems and perceived shortcomings, humanistic therapy endeavors to stimulate creativity.
