Amtrak Station-SLQ

A well used station on the main line to Hastings. There is seating undercover on the platform and a tea room for your daily coffee. Station officials are on site most of the day even on bank holidays. However they are not on site during the evenings which is a pity at times. I was a little disappointed with the cleaning on my visit, as on the day I was there, there where 10 used vape metal canisters under the waiting area seats that young children where asking questions about. I thought that was disgusting. There is a small communal garden next to platform 2 which is well maintained and looks nice

As with most stations ticket office opening is unpredictable. Nice little coffee shop on platform

Good service and nice staff, well maintained station with a nice tiny green garden next to platform no.2.

For 2 weeks now, the awful noise of grinding, machine sound, and rumbling at night has been heard from the station, making it impossible to rest and sleep at night. We are working people and I work from 8 am to 11 pm, I would need to rest and sleep. The work going on at the station is bittering our lives and finishing our nervous system. Because of this, we have to move and we will never move next to a station again. Not because of the sound of the train, but because of the awful sound of the work of the group renovating the station that has been heard all night for several weeks. Work begins at 11 p.m. The entire pool echoes from the sound of grinders and machines until 5 a.m.

Someone just made an announcement saying that a train to Brighton arriving in one minute but was apparently delayed was coming in on platform 2 instead of 1. And then didn't bother to announce that that it was actually on platform 1 and they were just inept at announcements. So we missed the train as we were hurried trying to cross the railway bridge twice with 5 bags. This kind of ineptness is unacceptable.

It's a railway station not much more to say than that

Good station, and great staff, but announcements don't work properly and you have to leave the station to change platforms - which is not very good when you're using e-tickets and doesn't finish the journey there.

Location location location!!! Good station, no staff in evenings; think they hide. Location is by Warrior Square hence the name not a nicest of areas to visit. Gardens and seafront is lovely, local inhabitants are not.

Grateful we get to use this station 2 days in a row for transit. The help machine works fine, and when contacted, were responsive to queries.
