Very Good beach for families with kids. Sandy and the water is near. Fun Playground. Benches. Has washroom but needs outdoor shower under renovation when this review was written. Not all stations have lifeguard on duty so be careful. Free parking no time limit but gets full fast! Ambleside park doesn’t have water spray park but nearby John Lawson Park has and parking there gets full fast and has 2 hr time limit.
Good place for a walk with a nice view. The sound of waves in the evening is pleasant to the ears. Lions Gate Bridge and Vancouver can be seen from the spot. Plenty of convenience stores nearby. Overall, a great place to relax and disconnect from the world.
Came here around noon and didn’t leave til after dark. The beach looks out across to the south east & west and there’s a view of the Lions Gate bridge and Stanley park. Traffic can get congested at sundown as everyone’s travelling home so be mindful of that but overall it’s very easy to get around and there’s lots of parking free & paid. Lots of restaurants nearby and a mall a couple minutes east of the beachfront. : <3
I really love this beach. The mix of sand and rock and the best place for seeing sunset with ur friends. You are also allowed to bring ur dogs with you and enjoy walking together
I really enjoy going to this park. It is clean and the ocean water is beautiful. The green spaces are well maintained. The only thing I am not so happy are the washrooms they are pretty old and no showers . The changing room are without doors and for the capacity of this beach I feel it’s too small.
Our favorite place to hang out as a family. This beach is beautiful. Water is clear, sands are fine, love walking barefooted. With the view of Lions gate Bridge, Stanley Park and other side of Vancouver, it is beautiful! Playground is a hit, not a massive one but so much to play for the kids. Lots of free parking but it gets really busy in the afternoon. It's worth visiting to unwind and relax.
One of my favorite quiet time beaches to enjoy sundown. Great spot for a picnic for those humans who love to clean up after themselves and put things in the garbage after they are done.
One of my favorite beaches to go swimming. It is also very close to many unique shops and restaurants.
Even if the water isn’t the best the park is amazing with lots of space and people having a good time.
Has easy access parking, bathroom and change room facilities as well as a outdoor shower to rinse off the kids after the beach. Also a nice little playground with slides right next to the beach
