We stayed there for the second time this past weekend and had a great time, even better than the first. So pleased with new managers Doug and Cindy who go out of their way to make sure campers are comfortable and feel welcomed right from the start. We stayed in a tent, quiet, relaxing site, great fishing, canoe and paddle boat rentals, well equipped park store, hot showers and friendly seasonal campers. Almost forgot to mention the well maintained walking trails! Hats off and huge thanks to Doug and Cindy, and we will be seeing you again soon! Ben and Fran
What a beautiful park and the managers there are great, making you feel welcome and they go out of their way for you. We were there Labour Day weekend and the grandkids loved it as they had a giant blow up slide/obstacle course set up. Most of the sites are seasonal but they have a few transient sites and they are right on a small brook. You can rent canoes, kayaks etc there. There are trails to walk, horseshoes, a pool, a small store, a playground, etc. Laundry and washrooms available. We loved it there and had a great weekend with our family.
We had a wonderful time at the Amazing Rocky park. The new owners were amazing with us. Being a huge group we had to make some stuff work. Like sharing power. But this park has stuff for all ages. Everyone really enjoyed there time. The bathrooms were sooo clean. Park so we kept. The jumping rock and flower pot island were huge hits with the teens.
Affordable. We rented the trailer. We visited on family day week. They had blow up water slides, a pool, fishing, a dance party at night, icecream cones. The kids loved it and it was super affordable. I even left my camera in the trailer by mistake.. I didn't notice for a few weeks. When I called they were able to retrieve it and I got it back!! I couldn't believe it. They even have boats you can rent and jumping spots off the little cliffs into the river. Best camping experience in awhile. 5/5
What a great camping experience! Small campground with so much to offer for every age. We were a group with baby to 70plus. The pool was perfect refresher close to park and lots of sun but lots of shade areas. The river felt like a lake. So deep you can dive straight in! Don't want to loose anything. It's gone. We lost a phone and watch. The river has a diving rock and many areas to slip in with tubes or kayaks. Fishing. Lots of beautiful hiking trails! The dam is there with a stream running through the park. We truly enjoyed our stay here and we will be back. Huge shout out to Doug forhelping and assisting with anything we needed. For throwing us a dance party on the Saturday night and accommodating our large group! Everyone loved this camp. Felt like family
Nice cozy campground. Could actually be Amazing if they made a couple of small changes no sewers for over night RV's, only 15Amp for over night RV's and a $20 charge to empty your RV tanks after camping there for a week. The public bathrooms are nice but need to be maintained better unless spiders are your thing, no concrete or pavement for the basketball court, and rental fees for the shuffleboard all take away from this park. The park staff are friendly and outgoing and seem to want to ensure that everyone has a good time. Thank you for the great week, we will be back.
Managers are very nice. Grounds are well kept. Wifi is terrible. Pets are welcome.
Great family campground! Everyone at the park was very friendly and lots beautiful sites to see. It was nice to see so many kids Playing and being kids rain or shine: The campground was well maintained and Amenities were clean. owners were great and very accommodating to our needs. The best was the rooster giving everyone a wake up call! Lol. Definitely going here again.
Does not live up to its name of Amazing. We rented the cabin for 3 nights. We only used it to sleep as we spent our days with family camping there. Did not even use the kitchen table. Cabin was dirty. There was approx 8 pillows left on the top bunk stained and dirty. I asked why they were there and was told that sometimes people forget their pillows. With covid on the rise, they should not have been left there! The TV and microwave were covered in fingerprints. The TV also had drip stains that leaked down the door. I asked for cleaning supplies and she had to go into her own trailer to get it; none at the office and was told it had been cleaned the day before and kids must have gotten in there to play while airing it out. The hot water kettle had been stored with water in it with bugs floating in the water and did not even work. I used a baby wipe under the table floor and it was filthy. It took 24 hrs for the freezer to start getting cold. Covid protocols were not followed whatsoever. No one wore masks in the store not even the customers. There is a lot more I could say but not enough room. Seasonal park was very nice though and very well kept by the campers. I will never ever go back there again. I do not recommend this park cabin. Potential health issues.
My family used to be seasonal camper's at Rocky for years when Chris was the owner. In July 2020 a friend of mine and I did a last minute camping trip to Rocky. We were surprised that they were no covid-19 precautions in place. All aspects of the park were open and no social distancing was in place. The pool was open and no limit of people allowed was posted anywhere. The washrooms were cleaned around 6am Saturday morning and that was it for the rest of the weekend. Saturday evening when we got back from being at the river most of the day we went into the washroom and only one stall was able to be used, the rest has urine on the seats, toilets clogged with feces and toilet paper, there were even used feminine hygiene products on the floor. The park was hosting kids events and dances, which I was shocked by. We were unable to sleep until after 2am as the music was so loud and the light show had our trailer light up like a Christmas tree. I am very disappointed in how much this park has changed, it used to be very family oriented and now it seems like party central. I have recommended this park to friends and family and now I regret that. It saddens me to see how things have changed for the bad and that the seasonal camper's and committee members are being accused of unspeakable things and their characters are being tarnished by people who don't know them or anything about what was done to them. A couple years ago I would 100% recommend this park, now not so much. I actually pulled into the park a couple weeks ago with my kids and they were shocked at how derelict the park looks now and couldn't believe that they were allowing people to tent all around the horseshoe pits and the playground area where the trampolines used to be. This park isn't anything like the pictures showthose pictures are all from when the previous owner ran it. The pricing on the website isn't what you pay, they add an extra $20 a night on for "fees and taxes" that they can not break down for you....so disappointed
