The joy of sharing stories, exchanging playful glances across the room and just simply living; is engrained in the Amal experience.Amal’s menu is a celebration of Lebanon’s most enamoured dishes, genuine in character and components, yet innovative and modern in taste and presentation."

It was a great place! It was personally my first fine dining restaurant and it definitely left a great first impression! The food was great and the waiters were friendly. The atmosphere was nice too; loud and warm, unlike what I'd expected. We went at night so they had the lights turned down, giving it a very cozy feel. The pricing was also just right for the quality and portions of the food. I would definitely go back when I get the chance! Vegetarian options: I was surprised by the number of vegetarian and vegan options provided! The vegetarian option portions are a bit smaller that the meat ones but they were still pretty filling. Dietary restrictions: There were vegan options available and the server was kind enough to ask about any allergies we had before he confirmed the order.
We really liked this place. Mommy had the chicken and I had the beef tenderloin. The chicken was super tender. I asked for my beef to be cooked medium so I can share it with my mom but it came out pretty much rare. Didn’t want to bother sending it back though. The lunch platters come with rice or fries and they were both delicious options. We got one of each to try. Would definitely come back again when in the area
Came here on a Saturday for lunch. The place was very well decorated, has a nice bright vibe. The food was pretty good, reasonable portions and prices, although I personally found it VERY salty. One thing I should mention though, is that it seemed like there was absolutely no capacity limit in place at the restaurant. The place was fully packed with people sitting extremely close to one another. This was when 50% limits were still in effect in Ontario. Otherwise, pleasant experience overall.
We went to Amal for our anniversary. We loved our waiter he was so kind! The service was great. The restaurant was also very cute and chic. The food was delicious. We recommend the: beef tenderloin, date cake, and chicken wings which were amazing! We tried their mock tails and hummus too which were good. You can skip the chicken tawook though, we tried it and it wasn’t special. It is pricey but worth it for a special occasion. Would recommend and visit again :
Great food and a beautiful spot. Located on a second floor, you might not find this spot unless you’re looking for it, but once you do find it, you’ll be greeted by a big and beautiful, airy restaurant with friendly staff. While the prices are steep for Lebanese food, you’re getting refined dishes to go along with great cocktails. We got a couple of platters and a wrap and I would definitely pick the platter over the wrap. The platters come with pita, the smoothest hummus you’ll ever eat, pickles, veg and your choice of fries or rice. The meat is cooked well and is nice and moist. The wraps also come with pickles and rice or fries, but the portion is definitely smaller and while tasty, were a little on the dry side. I don’t know how busy this place can get, but it can seat a lot and there are some private dining areas I’d you have a bigger group.
Middle eastern food at its finest. Rama Kay was certainly the star of the night along with the variety of fantastic cocktails. I absolutely loved the detailed interior with eclectic furniture cresting a cozy vibe. The flavour you will find in the food were so juicy and fresh which I find rare to find in Toronto. Easily a spot to come back to. Removing one star as the kunafeh was way below expectations and didn’t come close to the quality of everything else — quite a surprise to be honest. Other than that looking forward to returning one day!
Wonderful ambiance both inside and outside on the patio. We dined on the patio. They had blankets to offer when it got a tad chilly - that’s A+ service right there. Our server, Nicole was fabulous! Food was delicious as well - especially the bakhlava. The music can use some uplift, but overall, would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back soon again!
Amal provides an absolutely outstanding restaurant experience! One of the best in Toronto. From the food to the ambiance , from when you first walk in to when you leave, the service and atmosphere is nothing short of bliss. You’ll find the delightful Mediterranean interior & decor to be a surprise when dining at night. It’s warm and comforting, complimented by top tier service. I have visited this location on multiple occasions and cannot wait to go again. Please be open to trying all food items as your mouth will thank you later. Parking is tight in the area and there is an elevator. It’s located conveniently on Bloor st minutes to subway and bus access.
The food, service, ambiance, was top notch. I was mostly surprised given the upscale classy vibe that the price of food was very reasonable. The cocktails are great, you definitely need to try one. I absolutely loved everything I ate but unfortunately cannot remember the names of anything except the Branzino Food: 5/5
Amazing interior design, very friendly vibe. The service was relatively quick but at peak times, we waited a bit longer. The menu was priced very fairly for the main food although cocktails were overpriced. Meat quality and desserts were amazingly, they could probably work more on their appetizers, they were not up to the quality of the rest of the menu. Unground paid parking and coat check was available.
