I had to call AMA roadside assistance to assist with my back right car tire which needed to be changed. Clive was absolutely amazing. Very professional. He went above and beyond what was required of him while giving me very useful tips. I wholeheartedly recommend him!! He is definitely a huge asset to the company.
AMA give this man a raise ! Clive is the best driver I’ve had from AMA! If you have more Clive’s working for your company those 3.6 stars with 278 reviews will be 5 stars in no time ! Clive is hard working, dedicated, proficient, caring, friendly, efficient and is an asset to your company! He loves what he does with a passion and that’s rare to see! My brother and father both have AMA memberships ill be telling them if you ever get Clive coming to help you,you got nothing to worry about ! Man I wish every-time I called AMA I would get Clive to come to my rescue even if I have to wait 3 hours id rather have him then anyone else! 6 star review!
Had Clive in Calgary boost our truck and he was amazing! Made the experience seamless and provided us with so much additional information on how to maintain it after, as well as other things we might need to know about in the future. Thank you so much for the quick response and great service!
I had called to get a boost and Clive came to help me out. He was very helpful, and when my vehicle didn’t boost he was able to get me more assistance. He followed up with me to make sure I was okay. I appreciate this thoughtfulness and his excellent customer service. He is an asset to CAA!
Waited for over 2 hours for a service call to repair/change a flat, with one call in front of me. While I am capable of changing a tire myself and ended up doing so my wife would not have been in the same position. Over the years there has been value in the membership and the services offered and provided, however this time you let us down AMA, please strive to do better.
All the people helping at the various counters are friendly and helpful. I could live without the aggressive masked receptionist coming out from behind her desk to greet people, ask if they have appointments, point them in the right direction whether they need it or not, actually. What is the point of this? If people require the services of the receptionist, they will approach her. That is how it works. Otherwise, it is truly unpleasant, and unfriendly. What's going on, AMA? Are you trying to put people off from visiting your branches? Are you wanting the Covid times and attitudes to last forever? If so, you certainly have the right person on reception at the Gateway Blvd. location.
Recently I got service from Clive, he was an excellent technician and provided excellent service to me. First time help boast my vehicle, second time help replace dead battery. After the service, he called me few times for following up, I highly recommend him.
It states on their website that they verify copies of original documents as well as the receptionist said they did when we arrived but after standing in line up we find out they don’t. Also, needed to get some photos taken for a PR card application…charged me when I should have been offered a free set, took my wife’s photos when she was wearing a white shirt, which is not acceptable to Immigration Canada and her hair had a shadow on it so we went to another outlet and they did replacement photos that were acceptable and for free!
Clive was of great help to me today, I called this morning to get my battery boosted, he came and did that for me. After a little while, I got on the road and my ignition just went dead at an intersection. I called him again, he didn’t take so much time for him to show up and help boost the battery again and drove behind me to get off from the main road to the nearest gas station where I parked the vehicle and then call AMA towing services. Thank you for your help, I appreciate that.
In all the years I've had an AMA membership this year I've used them more than ever. And I'm sure I'm dumping my membership. First my family went in for passport photos which were quickly rejected, a pointless exercise, we ended up paying elsewhere for proper photos. Second, just last week I had my car break down. Warm January evening. First off their website is absolute rubbish. I'm in IT and know what 'usable' is and this site is the worst. Managed to request a tow....it was 6 p.m.. They quoted a time of 12:45 at night. Fine, that was puzzling given the weather was good and the streets clear. So I had my wife pick me up and take me home. 1 hr later I get a call to say the driver is 10 minutes away. I shoot to my car to get there as quickly as possible. But really? No heads up? No 30 minute call? What do they expect when the opening ETA is 6 hrs away? Fine again, I made it. The ONLY highlight of this experience was the amazing driver NOT an AMA driver. One of their partner drivers. The algorithm and supporting business processes behind their estimation of driver availability needs to be relooked. It's unacceptable to quote anyone 6hrs out....and then show up an hour later? Invest in your IT. This week the battery in my car could not hold a charge. Went to the AMA website to request mobile battery change. They didn't hold my battery in stock. Website directed me to their AMA partner sites.....guess what....the site doesn't work. Logging in on the partner site which barely even looked like an AMA site looped you back to the official AMA site. Into a loop. I ended up going to my local mechanic who had my battery and was in and out in 45 minutes. I submitted my concerns and of course no response. My wife and I are revaluating our needs for our 2 vehicles and trailer currently under AMA. I'll add to the above. I'm not unreasonable. If there is a snow storm it's expected your car will sit even for days. There won't be a tow truck as far as the eye can see. But on relatively normal days estimation is a fail. If you don't want to estimate, then don't. Because a window of 6hrs with the possibility of anything to occur....is just plain silly.
