Very good campground, it has everything you need: lots of room for RVs and the forested area is perfect for tents. The restrooms are always clean, they have a BBQ area for groups, and also a game room with video games, pool table and many board games. We had a car accident on the way there and the others helped us tremendously by giving us free firewood and charging us only for 1 night instead of 3. Friendliest owners of a campground I have ever seen!

Family run, real nice people. Showers are typical campground, but nice and hot! Nice tenting area and Alps stays open a week longer than most others!

This is mostly for seasonal campers. Bathrooms were filthy. Tent campsites have electricity and good water supply and lots of benches. No grids on fire rings. Very rocky area so take care driving in. Office was closed both days we were there.

On an honest note when I first arrived at this camp, with my 10 year old daughter, I thought it was a nice little nature get away. Little did I know this camp has a lot of limitations and the male owner would pull up in front of our site on his golf cart, say nothing but just sit there and stare at us. I didn't pay it any mind untiI later that night when me and my girlfriend put the kids to sleep. It was 1129pm on a Saturday night, the 2 of us sitting by a slowly dieing fire in the pitch black listening to 107.7 on a little 2 in 1 flashlight radio. A truck driving slowly in the distance makes its way to our site and just stops in front of us with its lights on. We said "can we help you" and got no response! Starting to feel really uncomfortable and freaked out we yelled for one of our sleeping husbands to come out of the tent and see who it was. When my girlfriends husband exited the tent and started towards the truck I turned my flashlight on on my phone to light his way. When I did a mans voice shouted from the truck turn that light off! When he got to the truck he informed us it was the owner who was driving around earlier..... her husband than instructed us that we had to turn our radio off. Barely even able to hear it as it was I became flabbergasted!! Something is very weird and disturbing with this man and I will NEVER refer ANY of my family, friends, or co-workers to the Alps Family Campground. If anything I will warn them to rethink where they'd like to stay. *****in reguards to your response I would just like to say that is completely understandable, I was not aware of events that took place before I arrived. However, for future reference when you arrive at a campsite in the black of night you need to announce yourself! Especially when you see women sitting alone by the fire. When we called out "can we help you" there was no response. That was unacceptable on so many levels.

Best pizza anywhere and I've had pizza around world including NY city and throughout Italy. Boston has good pizza but as I said this is the best. Sorry Chicago but no comparison.
