I have been attending weekly neurofeedback sessions at Alpine for a little over a year now. I have proactively been open to finding ways to improve my mental health, and I feel that neurofeedback is one of the best decisions I could have made for my mental health. I always feel calm and focused after each session. The neurofeedback technicians along with Claire and Laura have always been super lovely and helpful, and I have always felt genuinely supported and understood which has also helped a great deal. The noticeable improvements in my mental health along with feeling taken care of are the main reasons I keep coming back : I will always be truly grateful to Alpine.
Maryam has been amazing with my teenage son. She relates very well to him and his helped him through a very difficult time, for which I am so grateful. We went to see a few different counselors to help before we found her that did not work out, so I am glad I found her. Her energy is amazing, she's always there to help and I highly recommend her.
My son recently had the pleasure of working with Maryam who truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked into her office, we felt welcomed and comfortable. She had a kind and compassionate demeanor that immediately put me at ease. In addition to her professionalism and expertise, she is also incredibly supportive and understanding. Maryam has always made us feel like she genuinely cared about our well-being. I highly recommend Maryam to anyone in need of support and guidance. She is truly an asset to the field of counselling, and I am grateful for the progress I am seeing in my son!
I really appreciated the chance to experience SSP with Holly as my counsellor. Listening to the music was very grounding and allowed me to take time to calm my brain and body as I focussed on listening. Listening in this way, I experienced deep relaxation. Holly was a wonderful support. She explained things well and offered advice on how to get the most out of my SSP sessions. The reception staff who I dealt with were very efficient and pleasant to deal with. They were patient with my questions and very responsive. Thank you to everyone for the warm support and guidance in my SSP journey.
I first tried SSP 1 year ago and was quite skeptical but very open to the process, as my job has quite stressful periods where things are fast-paced and intense. I didn't feel immediate results from the process but didn't have adverse reactions either. About 2 months after starting the program and 1 month after completing it, I went into the most stressful contract I've ever done in my job and found myself more able to cope than I was even in lower stakes, more manageable contracts. I felt calmer, more focused, more empathetic and, most importantly, less reactionary. It was much easier to see problems as just complications, rather than experiencing them as threats that would impact my well-being. I really noticed that my fight-or-flight response was dulled, I felt more whole in myself which meant that I was better able to make rational decisions rather than reacting to an innate base impulse towards safety. This meant that I was better at my job as I understood the priorities of the task at hand more quickly and spent less time thinking about my own emotional safety and more on addressing the crisis of the moment. Before this process, I hadn't really realized how often I reacted from this instinctual place of fear. I'm sure the results track in my personal life as well, though I haven't noticed such a marked shift. I expect that I'm more rational and reasonable, or empathetic, in friendships and relationships, but it's hard to tell as obviously in these areas. I would imagine if you're someone who is easily wounded in personal relationships and who feels their emotional safety is threatened by conflict, SSP would likely be incredibly helpful. I have been able to see all kinds of conflict in a new way now, viewing it more as a puzzle to be solved with another person rather than an attack on my emotional "home" or safe space for lack of a more nuanced term! I just went through another round of SSP and am looking forward to the benefits. On this round, I did have some slightly negative reactions at first - I found myself somewhat irritable, easily hurt or offended, a bit paranoid - nothing very extreme but I was able to notice certain reactions in myself. I dialled down the extremity a bit and stuck with it, knowing that at the other end the result would be very worth it. This feeling did pass after a few sessions and it was helpful to remind myself that the feelings of irritation or sensitivity were part of this process, not inherent to who I am. This process has made an incredible difference in my life. It's never the ultimate answer - as no one thing can be - and I still approach my mental health from many angles, but it's been a wonderful aid. If you suffer from anxiety, listlessness, indecision, and panic, SSP might be very helpful for you. It's worth pushing through any initial adverse effects, as for me they were short-lived and the benefits far outweighed the negative. Good luck!
I can’t even begin to describe how thankful I am to have found this wonderful group of professionals. Every experience I’ve had has been wonderful! The receptionists, my neuro feedback session with Dana and my continuing sessions with Lori - exceptional service! Lori and I connected so well right off the hop and she has helped me through one of the toughest times in my life this far. Very professional, knowledgeable and also fun, which makes therapy a whole lot more enjoyable to look forward too! I look forward to my sessions and will continue with Lori for the foreseeable future Thank you Lori and all other Alpine staff that have helped me along the way!
So where to start, neurofeedback has become a significant part of my life. The treatments have been continuously improving my quality of life, when I struggle with anxiety and depression and have sought out various ways in the past on how to cope and manage it properly. I received nothing but top quality service from the entire staff I’ve had the pleasure to meet and interact with. Ive had and continue to have wonderful experiences at the Alpine Counselling Clinic. Laura, Dana, Francesca and Eryn have been so helpful with the goals in mind that I want to achieve. I’ve found neurofeedback has helped me manage my depression, anxiety, and has helped me become more “quick on my feet”, alert, and more aware at work. It is almost like my brain fog has been non-existant. The front desk team are also very nice and very helpful in scheduling and are all around top notch workers who are great at their job. I continue to see Eryn on a regular basis as I chose to see her as my technician and plan on continuing as many treatments as i’d like with her.
I wanted to wait for a month or more before I posted a review to make sure I could give my honest opinion and results. I can confidentially say that I personally felt the benefits of the DNF treatment the very next day. This is not to say that everyone will have the same experience or see results so quickly, but I suffer from chronic stress, I can get frustrated easily, and I am constantly over thinking every thing as my mind is quite busy. Since I have been going to Alpine Clinic for about 2 months, I have been feeling the benefits immensely. Days where I would be huffing and puffing at my work computer, annoyed with things not working properly or not going smoothly have now turned into "is it REALLY a bad day, or am I making it a bad day?" - it really helps me manage my stress levels, helps me think more clearly, and gives me a more positive outlook on life! The staff are also top notch!
I wasn’t excited to be visiting a clinic for anxiety/panic attacks, and typically don’t like clinical settings. This is different. The staff here have created such a warm and welcoming space and I genuinely look forward to my visits. My symptoms have decreased significantly in just a month and changes were noticeable after the first session. Very grateful to have found this place. Lots of gratitude and highly recommend to anyone.
Neuro feedback therapy, has helped with building a solid foundation for healthy habits to be reintroduced into my life. While providing calm and clearing mental road blocks. The Alpine Clinic staff are incredibly kind and accommodating, and have made this process much easier. So happy to have found this clinic and highly recommend to anyone, looking for help and a safe space.
