Alpena Express Care & Family Practice

I had been seeing a provider at Alpena Express Care and Family for my primary care for some time. I had an appointment scheduled, and when I went to my appointment the sign on the door said CLOSED. I called them and was told that my provider was no longer with the firm. They didn't even bother to call me to cancel my appointment or schedule me with someone else. I could not get my prescriptions filled because they also did not fax information requested by my pharmacy. I would give them a zero if I could.

Dr Dargis is very caring, and many years of experience. He's my family's doctor & has been for 9 years.

Came here for school sports physical. Receptionist was polite and helpful. Doctor was good. Would come back here for medical care.

Went there for walk in treatment today. I left after over 2hrs of never being seen. No updated communication from the receptionist about wait time. I asked before I left after 2pm, and there was still 2 people ahead of me. They were still accepting walk ins but we're closing at 3pm. If you can't keep up with your walk in patient demands along with scheduled patients you shouldn't keep walk in clinic hours! Front desk did apologize when I asked for my paperwork back before leaving but still over 2hrs and still having to wait for 2 people ahead of me. Very poor management.

My second time seeing Shelly and both times she treated me very well and even followed up with a phone call two days later to check up on me. Wouldn’t hesitate to see her again.

Do not become a patient here run with your illness to some place else for your proper health care. Believe me I’ve had it with this doctor of wacky

The most useless place. Twice I have been mislead about their services and have shown up only to be turned away. Never go here!

I have found Dr Dargis his Nurse, and staff extremely helpful. They have not only helped me during my visit, but continue to help me after the initial visit. Dr Dargis has gone above and beyond!

Both my wife and I have seen Dr Dargis and his new associate Shelly Garlitz and are very satisfied with the care we received, we would definitely recommend them to anyone needing medical care..

Almost a 2-hour wait for a simple sports physical. We won't be back.
