Excellent! The concept and the contents of this exhibition are so good. The entire exhibition is outside in the forest, and by the time you reach the end, everything about logging in Canada has become clear. The timeline, the hardships they faced, and the work they accomplished are very clearly laid out as you go through the exhibition. Thank you
The museum and trail are fantastic. Very informative and interactive. Easy walk. I was able to live out a lifelong dream of running a train with my friends. Memories I'll have for the rest of my life! Highly recommend
The logging museum trail is a short, easy trail near the east gate of Algonquin Park. The trail has replicas of logging camps from various time periods. You can go inside the buildings and get a closer look at what life was like back then.nnThere’s also machines, trucks and a locomotive that come from our logging past. There’s period information posts, as well as an interpretative guide book.nnThe logging museum trail is also a great spot for wildlife viewing, especially birds in the winter months. It’s a great place to spend an hour or so.
It starts from showcasing the history of logging and how it evolved over the time here at Algonquin. Next you get to know the same history through movie as well which then brings you back to the history of logging where you can see the real wood structures of how loggers used to live and work there. They had around 10 structures and each step you get to see how it evolved till date. We find it very interesting and learned the history. Washroom facilities was good and clean. We do recommend this museum visit.nAugust 2024nThank you
One of the best attractions on Highway60.nI recently visited the Logging Museum in Algonquin along with my son, and I must say it was a unique experience. The museum provides a comprehensive look into the history of logging in the region. The exhibits were well-curated, on a trail and I learned a lot about the industry's evolution.nnThe staff was friendly and knowledgeable, which added to the overall experience. It's a great place to explore and gain insight into the past. I appreciate the effort put into preserving this important part of our history.nnI highly recommend visiting if you have an interest in history or just want to learn something new. Keep up the good work, Logging Museum! I'll soon return next time with my parents
