Ales & Tales Bar and Lounge

The chairs are nice looking but super uncomfortable to sit in. When you walk in it looks fancy and new but the menu does not match that. They have color changing lights on the ceiling that makes you feel like you're in a night club. I had a crispy chicken burger that tastes like fish. Our appetizer of potato skins was really good. Our waitress was very friendly. Our food took a bit longer then expected and the place was dead. Overall not a very good experience.

The staff were awesome, and the food was great! I like the new renovations, but the fancy LED lighting isn't really needed. Comfortable to sit a chat with friends and the TV's weren't too loud :) Will be back!

The food, beer and service were all very good ... the lighting was terrible! Picture yourself having dinner at Costco or a high school gymnasium. If you don't care about lighting or if you're the kind of person that looks amazing in all kinds of lighting then I'd give this place 5 stars!

Great job in rejuvenating this pub, formerly known as Cudos for the past 30 years, now you would not recognize it. Clean, nice furniture, good decor, improved service, new modern menu items, a huge improvement.

It's really hard giving this establishment a three star, as it has much more potential. I wish I could give it the 5 star it deserves. The renovations are astounding. They covered every detail- everything from led lighting, new suspended ceiling, all new seating, and the list goes on. With that being said- I must give a 5 star rating for the atmosphere... The only minor complaint about the atmosphere is that the led accent lighting, can be rather annoying if the bar tender has them flashing and changing colours like a Christmas light show. The reason I had to give a 3 star rating is because of the menu and ingredient quality. The menu could definitely use an expansion and a bit more planning. It is very random, and not thought thru. They have everything from frozen pre-packaged Costco dry ribs, to an amazing homemade butter chicken. It would be nice to see quality and theme throughout the menu. Surprised there is only one pasta option and isn't even baked. If the management, can correct the menu and purchase something other than frozen ribs that I can cook at home, this lounge has significant potential. Still worth a visit.
