Great place to stop and shop for all your needs and the staff members are great

I bought a coffee press from this store and during its third use, its cracked down the middle when my husband poured the hot water in. We brought it back to show them what had happened and they refused to replace our product. As they don't stand behind their product, I will never shop there again. The customer service was horrible. I told my friend's husband to buy her one for Christmas before any of this happened. The exact same thing happened to hers and again, they refused to make the situation right. While I love to support local companies, avoid this one! I was embarrassed that I was the one who recommended them.

Kitchen Widgets is a terrific store for people who love unique things. Especially when you don't know what to buy that 'loved one who has everything'.
I bought some really creative Canadian made dishes for holding cheese balls, or dip.
My family and friends loved them! And they were reasonably priced to fit my budget!
The Owner and Staff are just so helpful in suggesting neat things.
They have something for everyone who loves to cook.
I highly recommend this store for any gift giving.

So, this is a long story. I was married late in life and when our friends asked about where we registered, there was only two places. Really, only one since we found dishes at another store in Sarnia not available at Kitchen Widgets. I do all the cooking in our family and have taught my kids a love of cooking. I support local businesses as much as possible. I left a local non-profit group home and when asked what I wanted as a going away gift, I said a gift certificate to KW. I received a $160 gc as a parting gift. It was at Christmas time and put in a card. My wife threw out the cards and unfortunately the GC from KW. I asked the accountant for a receipt proving the purchase and went into the store. I explained what had happened and was told there was nothing they could do by the owner. I offered to wait a year incase the GC was used by someone who went through our thrash, the owners concern. Still, no, was the response. I offered to leave a cheque for the amount of the GC and still, no, was the answer. I have never bought a single item from this store since then but have spent $1000 since then on kitchen items. I tell this honest story to anyone who will listen and would buy future items from them if they would make this situation right. They kept the $160 and offered no goods in return?
