This was a super cute little store. We needed alot of stuff. The produce was nice looking i bought melons and apples and bannannas. I needed meat. They had great sales and discounts. We bought bakery items and also some deli jojos and chicken. It was fantastic. Cooked perfectly. Juicy and delicous. When we checked out we had a very friendly cashier and bagger. Our experience was wonderful!
I have meetings in Anaconda at least once a month and will stop to do some shopping before heading home. This last time I stopped I picked up 3 pkgs of ground turkey to make dog food for my newly diagnosed diabetic dog. This sign above the bin said 3.99 a pkg, so I picked up 3 pkgs. At checkout the total was 17.50 not 11.97.nI also bought a container of Tomato Basil Bisque. After I got home I was going to heat it up for dinner, and checked the bottom, the date listed as Best by Mar 19 25. Needless to say I am disappointed. UPDATE: My local Safeway in Deer Lodge took care of me. Thank you!
The cashier are absolutely great however the Deli is absolutely pathetic who in the right mind is going to pay $12.99 for an 8 piece chicken meal when you only 8 dinky chicken tinders and a pound of JoJo's that is completely outrageous not happy with the deli at all! If you want a good deli a to Stokes Food Market in Anaconda.
I put up with the incorrectly priced items, got used to checking the dates on everything since they sell expired product, and ignored the attitude of some of the employees for the sake of the rewards and cheap food, but don't have people bag our groceries if they can't put the groceries in the cart when they are done. Id frankly rather pay more to shop at Stokes because I know I'll get what I paid for, at the price it was labeled at. I shouldn't have to make multiple trips to the store just to get the items that I purchased the first time around, and get attitude for it too.
Plenty of items in stock only reason for the left out 2 stars is because the employees just leave their boxes wherever in the aisle and it just looks like a complete mess and you have to move all the boxes on the floor to grab anything on the bottom shelf
