If I could give a zero I would. This is not even on the Nurses or Doctors. This is on the administrators. Those who run the hospital. They should have a capacity of children they allow to be in there. There are not enough beds. They play this psychological game with people and move them into different waiting room just to make them feel like they are moving somewhere. We had to put our pride down and say we do not care if our daughter get her panel done in front of everyone and when her results came back we didn’t care to receive it in front of everyone because we didn’t want to wait for a room that wasn’t available. We were already there for almost 8 hours. Not good!!! We know there is a shortage and since they know that then they should work on how many people they allow in the area. There needs to be order and for order to happen it has to comes from the head. There was a little boy who needed stitches and clearly could see the gash and blood in his head and they made him wait. This is crazy. I bet the administrators will not bring their own kids to that place. Please get it together!!!!!!!!!!! Your staff are exhausted!!! They do not need appreciation key chains or w.e you give, they need help!!!!
So angry my daughter was transported by ambulance due to falling on a stick and a hug nail like thorn was protruding out of her wrist. We were then taken off the stretcher from the ambulance and placed in the waiting room for 4 hours and waiting. Being told that we are next if more ambulances don’t come in. I’m sorry but since when does someone coming by ambulance become not important enough to be seen immediately. This hospital does not have the ability to care for the young in a timely manner. To sit for 4 hours with a huge nail like thorn protruding out of her wrist. While others are taken ahead of her. Sorry but I feel that this was a disservice to my daughter that required immediate attention and was pushed aside. Hopefully she doesn’t get an infection or something worse from this lack of care she received.
The nursing staff was amazing very attentive and accommodating to my 3 or old son whom is nonverbal and on the spectrum. The residents that are training there....absolutly horrible. Did not even acknowledge my sons disposition continued to address and question him expecting a response after being told multiple times he doesn't respond due to this autism. The resident doctors are terrible to the nursing staff, very rude and disrespectful to them. Witnessed the resident doctors verbally abusing the nursing staff multiple time on my presents. The resident doctors were very disrespectful to me and my son and I will never bring my son or any family member there again!
So I was coming back from Portland Maine to upstate, and yesterday morning I had dull pain around my appendix. They treated me very well and everyone was nice! There was a TV and a warm blanket. They gave me medicine and it was a good hospital. It was a little slow, but very good. Clean and nice. The CT scan tech was nice too!
Drove all the way from Schenectady for my 13 year old with a injury to his leg. Nurse sat on the computer the whole time, made no contact and was very rude. Then told us that she was going to check for an empty room while we watched her sit in the nurses station and talk about ordering chicken tenders. Def do not recommend.
Once we left the emergency room area, it was a good experience. The staff was friendly, kind, sympathetic and took time to explain test results, answer any questions and provide follow up with doctor. Copies of the visit and test results were sent to our pediatrician. In a word, Excellent!
Worst hospital ever my 6 month old had a fever for 2 days and was having difficulty breathing they stuck us in the waiting room for 8 hours didn’t even do vitals on her after she was triaged and all the nursing staff ignore you
The wait is excessive. 1 hour in the first waiting room, 30 minutes sitting in a triage room, 2 hours waiting in another waiting room. Once seen, after 3.50hrs, it still took another 6 hours for some blood work and one test. We had to ask multiple times what we were waiting for or if our 2 year old could eat.
Horrible service. They triage you then stick you in a waiting room and keep telling you it will be “a while” when there is no one else even waiting.
This is one of the worst hospitals i have ever seen. Sitting in the waiting room for 6 hours with a sick child and saw many people get discharged and some come in after us and go in and leave.
