Staff members are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It's always a good experience to research here. Albany County "gets" that these records belong to the public. I wish city and state agencies would think the same way, instead of discouraging access or forcing you to be dependent on clerical staff who don't necessarily understand how to search for documents.
