Authentic Ramen in New Market. Delicious broth, meat cooked perfectly. Restaurant is clean and modern. Awesome Japanese decals on the wall. Food is reasonably priced given the location, atmosphere and quality. Restaurant was popular with people which is a good indication people enjoy coming here. Quick and great service. Will be back and recommend to anyone who lives near and far to visit.
Ajisen has been my personal favourite after scooping through a lot of ramen places across New Zealand. This joint hit the spot and I absolutely love it. The food is so yummy and deliciously delightful that it always leave me with a need to come back for the next meal. The ambience and the staff are super cool. I’ve uploaded some pictures of the regulars I have and these are must try if you are at Ajisen
You just have to try because it's new and it's in NZ and not in many other parts of the world!! There is plenty of choice to offer and if you are into noodles, this could just be your favorite place. Not the cheapest but the ingredients, taste, excellent service, great ambience and superb cleanliness is worth it or the wait despite its size. Recommended.
First time having Ajisen Ramen in New Zealand, and it didn't let me down Chicken katsu was so delicious but the salad that came with it was of less taste. Ramen was classic as always, but the soup was a bit salty. Overall however, will still come back to try different flavours:
I recently had lunch at the first ever Ajisen in New Zealand if I'm not mistaken. I have to say the decor and service was really good. Looks more stylish than the restaurants in Singapore. The interior design beats any location in Singapore hands down. Just a quick FYI. Ajisen Singapore is mid standard restaurant and frequented by students. It's not an expensive option whereas in NZ it's a little more expensive. I ordered the Grand Zen Nose. I have never seen this in the SG menu before but it looked really yummy. It turns out that it was full of meat and the taste was amazing. It was a little better than my IPPUDO experience not too long ago. Overall the size was good, very filling and the taste was very satisfying. The broth was full bodied and rich with a complexity of flavors. You definitely have to come try this
Delicious ramen and a wide variety of food in their menu. One of the best in Auckland. Staff are very accommodating, but I hope they remove the 2 hours not sure of the time of dining time. The place is quite big and heaps of tables.
First time trying this place. Had high expectation given the reviews and also been always wanting to try it. Had the black tonkotsu ramen. The sides were takoyaki and soft shell crabs. The ramen broth was delicious, nice strong broth, the ramen was nice texture and the toppings were not bad. The sides however was just ok for me. The crab was just lack of flavour and rely on the spicy mayo dip which was underwhelming. The takoyaki was not bad, but I think at $15-17 a side, I would rather get more ramen. I will probably come back again and explore other ramen flavours but pass on the sides.
Always really great tasting ramen at Ajisen, the classic Ajisen Ramen is my favourite. However, the real star of the show is their Saba mackerel side dish, super moist and luxurious taste, yum!
A lovely, large, traditional Japanese resturaunt with a large menu, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. I thoroughly enjoyed dining at this place, offering somewhat competitive prices on their food, whilst bringing amazing quality with not only the food, but customer service. It didnt take long for the food to arrive for three people, and it all came at once, very impressive. The staff were inviting and friendly, making you feel welcome and comfortable. The food was lovely, with large portions and a wonderful broth in the ramen, you will leave this place feeling satisfied and wanting to try something else on the menu. I will warn you, they do have a 60min dining policy due to their high demand, so plan in advance to NOT stay so long, a quick lunch or dinner is good. I am glad i have found this gem of a place, I will be back for more. I will go to say, it is far better in comparison to the Ippudo at the Newmarket Westfield, in all components of the dining experience: better customer service, portions sizing, price, and vibe.
New Favourite Ramen place!! a good place to be during this winter season. went there to dine with my partner who is not really a fan of the of ramen but this place passed for him. Fast service as well.
