We have been to Ainsworth many times, the cave is very cool but it was much better a few years ago when it had a natural sandy floor. Its been epoxy coated below the water line... Admission is reasonable, $10.00, and the restaurant is fantastic! If you decide to stop in for a bite, the mussels are absolutely to die for. Words can't describe!!
All that being said the change rooms are small, not private and crowded with old naked men at most times, the shower room is the same. (To the facility's credit, they only have so much space to work with, not worth avoiding the place for that reason.) If they were changing the water a little more often and had they left the cave in its natural state I would give it 5 stars without a second thought.
Its a cool place to visit and an even better place to eat. (5 stars for the restaurant, no hesitation) We're fortunate to have family near Nelson so we have not tried out the accommodations.

The hot springs we're great. Super relaxing. The only had thing is that they are popular, so there are a ton of people here if you go on the weekends apparently. However, families that did have kids made sure they were respectful of the other people there, which was great (at least when we went). The hot springs were super nice while it was pretty cool outside. The caves we're awesome and proved a nice little getaway as there weren't many people inside. Very refreshing all around!

This is an incredible place. Perfect for a romantic getaway or fun for the whole family.
The water is therapeutic & truly rejuvenating.
The restaurant is excellent & service at this place is top notch.
There plenty of other places to explore in the area. Many beautiful scenic serene trails to experience that are easy to navigate.
I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend getaway. You won’t regret it. I will definitely be back.

I love going to Ainsworth! The hot springs are phenomenal. The waters are not smelly like some hot springs. I have felt rejuvenated in body and spirit while I am in the waters and after leaving. It is a family- friendly place. There are also good explanations about the waters from the history of the First Nations. I highly recommend the restaurant. On a Saturday night you should make reservations if you have a large group. The food is amazing and the staff are always friendly.

Such a cool place! The water doesn't have that sulphur smell like other hot springs. Very cool, dimly lit cave you can float/walk/move around in with fresh hot springs water entering the cave. Service was very friendly and the scenery is stunning.
