if you have a different choice for a family doctor, stay away from this place. It’s always about charging you extra and has to be paid in cash, very shady. I had it once asking the doctor for a referral, she rolled her eyes on me thinking it’s very unnecessary. I just love their services there, ridiculous. Also another time of visit, wanting to ask a question that’s kind of related to why I was there, then she said I needed to make another appointment for that question because this time I only mentioned one question at the time of booking.. so she won’t answer my second question. Anyway, golden advice here: avoid this clinic if you can.
Really poor service, no wonder there are not so many patients. The specialist Dr. Yue referred my mother to is dr. Edward Tam. He won’t see patient in person, and his receptionist only responded via email or text message. How this possible for a clinic? Wr just want some other options, Dr Yue totally ignored me. My mother just arrived Canada and she doesn’t know how the system works here, she couldn’t respond to Dr Yue’s questions. This place is totally a mess, won’t come back. Isn’t it patient’s right to choose in person or virtual care? The college has issued notice long time ago for returning to office care. Should we just have some options?
Avoid it as you can. TBH, the doctors are fair and provide good health advices; however, the receptionist is very unprofessional and not customer oriented. For example, they won’t check your MSP still validateI’m renewing it and didn’t notice the old expiration date before the appointment and charge your diagonsis fee. It is hard for you to reimburse it from bc gov. Alternative way, they can charge you later within msp validate period but they don’t care.
Ignore the negative reviews. I am a local and have been here since the beginning of 2018. Dr. Tan sees my whole family and helped me throughout my two pregnancies and helped me deliver two healthy babies. She helpswith our annual checkups and flu shots. The receptionists are nice to me, I've never had any problems with them. My usual wait time is around 15 minutes and I've been here so many times - probably 40-50 times. Dr. Tan is very experienced, knowledgeable and efficient - exactly what I want in a doctor. Thank you to Affinity Medical Clinic for taking care of my family!
Doctor is nice but the front desk receptionist has terrible phone etiquette. TERRIBLE!!!
One star is how much your family doctor care ! You can only see her on one issue, if you have another they want you to make another appointment.
Very bad service. Doctors are always grumpy. Now they are telling me I can visit the doctor there because my original doctor left and I wasn't transferred to the new one which I saw beforw. Totally unprofessional and do not care about patients.

If they have an option for zero star, I will totally give them that. Don't get me wrong, the doctors here are mostly good, but the 1 star review is mainly for the receptionist. They have two receptionists there, one with glasses and one without. The one without glasses is always having a not so happy face and a bit of attitude; however, she does her job well. The other one that's without glasses, I believe her name is Nicole, she does her job terribly. Couple times when I visit the clinic and waiting to check-in upon arrival, this receptionist, Nicole, is always chit chatting with some other visitors. And every time she'd ask me to wait for her to finish her conversations first until I can check-in. That is still fine, you like to talk and you need to talk then it's fine, I can just wait. But recently something more happened and I think I really need to leave a comment about her here. There's was one time that I called to make an appointment for myself and my child, I told her right away I wanted to book Aug 29th, she then asked me who's my doctor and I gave her the name of my doctor. Then she said my doctor is not working on that day, so I said I can see other doctors if she's not here because I have done this couple times before. But she said it is better for me to see my own doctor, so I said "okay then can you please tell me which date will my doctor be available?" She said "Next Monday." I said "Umm... next Monday is what date?" She said "Oh, actually you can come on July 31st." I said "......I can't come in that early because my child needs to take her vaccine and she needs to come in on a specific date." Then she had a big long sigh and she continued in a REALLY bad tone said "SIGH! Then which date do you want exactly?" I said "I told you in the beginning that I wanted to book Aug 29th." She said "okay, booked." Like, if you have listen to what I said in the beginning it will be much smoother and easier. And that was still fine, I didn't think about leaving a comment about her after this incident. However, something more happened and it really makes me annoyed. So, my doctor called me back the other day saying that I need to do another blood test and told me a date over the phone. When I was going to book the blood test appointment online, I forgot she mentioned I should do it before or after that certain date. So I called the clinic again just to confirm. I said "Hi, Dr. X called me this morning and told me to go do a blood test, but I forgot about the date of the second one." She said "Hold on." sounds of walking She said "Dr. X is with a patient now. What is your question again?" I repeated. She said "You can ask the lab staff about the date when you finished your first one." I said "Oh, but I wanna book my appointment now." She said "You don't need to book an appointment for a blood test, you can just walk-in to do it." I KNOW!! But the point for booking an appointment is to save the time on lining up at the lab! I don't understand why can't she just leave a message to the doctor, and she can call me back anytime she can. I didn't say I need the answer right away. Anyway, I hope the management of this clinic will see all these comments that are about the receptionists one day. You guys really need to make a change, 1.5 stars on Google and most of the comments are about the receptionists.
Horrible hours. Caters to one demographic only. They charge a $30 fee to move to another doctor and only take 'Cash or Ali Pay'. Horrible business practice.
