AFC Urgent Care Waukesha

Had x-rays done and told nothing broken. Guess what? My ankle is broken. Will charge me $10.00 for x-ray copies. The Doctor gave me a lecture about walking more the whole time I was in the examining room. I was there for ankle issues but kept hearing about walking more.

Absolutely horrible. My wife was misdiagnosed with several conditions she didn't have. Even after my wife politely explained that pneumonia had been going around our house, the doctor insisted he had 40 years of experience and knew what he was talking about. She requested a chest x-ray, and the doctor refused to do it. One of the things he diagnosed was an ear infection, and told my wife she couldn't go to work because she was highly contagious. Except ear infections are not contagious. Wound up going to the ER a few days later when she didn't didn't get better. The staff at the ER laughed at his diagnosis. Apparently, he is also well known by the local pharmacist for over prescribing medicines that are either unneeded or entirely wrong for the condition.

I'm a health professional (pharmacist) and my wife is a RN. This place is great. period. A few observations and level setting: re: wait times When I went in I was taken to see the doctor within 15 minutes. While this may or may not be the norm, try waiting in a typical ER. The wait times vary with the amount of people using the service, however, I have found the wait times here to be more than reasonable if not exceptional. re: prescriptions The physician did give me the appropriate medication for my condition. It helped tremendously. That said, if you are looking for someplace to get prescriptions for narcotics real quick because you are using them inappropriately, you probably need to consider someplace else. The physician was extremely professional and caring but as a professional would not cater to abuse by prescribing more. The professionals are there to help you stay or get healthy. All in all, great place. oh, and their prices are more reasonable than my family MD.

Waited almost an hour for a pre employment drug screen, with no one else waiting in the lobby. Staff was very rude and unprofessional.

The entire staff is friendly,professional and knowledgeable. My wait time is always minimal. The money savings going to them versus my primary care physician for every ache and pain is phenomenal. i highly recommend them to everyone. They are my first stop when I don't feel well.
