"Aesops Veterinary Care provides holistic care for your dog and cat, and empowers owners to take control of their pet’s health. At Aesops, we consider the whole animal. The patient’s physical and mental well-being as well as diet, exercise, life-style and environmental influences are all important considerations. The aim is to allow the patient’s body to heal itself and not just to use drugs to cover up the signs. Therapies include the medical modalities of nutrition, supplements, herbal remedies, conventional western medicine, behavior modification and immune system support. Lea Stogdale and Kristen Dyck are both amazing, we have had all our animals.under there care and have never had a bad experience, they are compassionate and work hard to find the answers even when there is no diagnosis.
I have deeply appreciated the approach that both Dr.'s at Aesop's Veterinary Care take with our dogs. They approach our pet's health care with a balanced holistic and scientific rigor that is exceptional. I also love the front house and technical staff at the clinic, they are warm, and helpful.
The staff are great, but they are too busy. Lab results take too long to come back. Though I want to recommend Aesop’s, I can’t simply because I think they have taken on too many patients to provide adequate care in urgent situations. I often wonder if my cat would be alive today if I took them to the vet that I have now, which has same-day lab results. No matter how good you are, if you have too much on your plate, you can’t give appropriate care.
I am very happy with the services provided by Dr Kris Dyck at Aesops' Vet Care. She is very professional, thorough in her exam and communicates her findings and recommendations clearly. She has done some minor surgery on our dog and called me immediately after to let me know how our dog was doing. All the staff in the clinic are pleasant and it is obvious they love pets!
We have been seeing Dr Dyck and Dr Stogdale for several years for the care of our three dogs and could not recommend them more highly. We have been so impressed with the time and extra care they take to ensure that our dogs are receiving the best healthcare and that we fully understand the treatment and care plan. They take the time to discuss your pets health, explain things in a straight forward manner and you always leave with a print copy of the health plan and recommendations. We regularly receive personal phone calls from Dr. Dyck to follow up on test results and changes in care she may recommend. Not only are they sensitive to your pets needs but they also have an understanding of us as pet owners and treat all with compassion.
Dr. Kris Dyck is an incredible vet. She takes her time, is extremely knowledgeable and explores all options if there are any issues at hand. She is personable, friendly, and you can tell she really has a heart for animals. We discussed all options for my cat which has moderate gingivitis, as well as holistic ones. I'm very glad I went to see her, and will be making her my life-long vet for my cats.
Aesops Veterinary care is by far the best in the city. The veterinarians are very through and take lots of time and great care with our three large dogs. They have saved me thousands over the past three years. They are well informed and up to date on current medications and practices. In addition they will not recommend something that they believe is not necessary or will not be beneficial to your pet.
Specifically, I have been dealing with Dr. Stocksdale at Aesops vet. I was very pleased to see how dedicated and immensely knowledgeable she is regarding naturopathic care. She did her very best to provide long-term health solutions for our cat, who has been dealing with food allergies. She is very understanding and kind for answering any questions we had. Our kitty has been going to our previous vet at least twice a month for the year prior to seeing Dr. Stocksdale. She was able to work on a long-term plan for him which has put him on a much healthier diet and has improved his health and quality of life greatly. He hasn't been to the vet since May 2019. Fingers crossed, this doesn't change. We're incredibly thankful for everything she has done for our pet! The staff at Aesops vet are wonderful as well, and always a pleasure to speak on the phone to.
I do not know what justifies the HUGE fees this vet charges. IF BEING a HOLISTIC vet would mean that there were few clients then MAYBE. HOWEVER I thoroughly believe they are very busy BECAUSE THEY ARE a holistic vet and they are one of only two vets that offer some holistic options. IF nothing else ... IT IS money gouging... WOW. Their rates should be more in line with regular veterinary care to give more people a chance at this type of knowledge to assist their pets. They would make a decent living regardless. I was BOWLED OVER. They also charge MORE by time. So there is no set fee. Just outlandish to begin with - and gets more outlandish by spending some extra minutes, The clock ticks for any extra time - YOU PAY EXTRA. That adds insult to injury. Too bad for all the dogs that could benefit. NO EXCUSE. Great or not, IT IS Dispicable
We have had several positive experiences at Aesops Vet from Dr Dyck and Dr Stogdale. We have a dog with a rare disease, and Aespos has been instrumental in confirming diagnosis and advising on ongoing care in medications. Our concerns are always listened to, and I feel that a thorough health review is done each time.
