I live in an apartment building downtown that has a bad reputation for good reason. I have had to call for police assistance about neighbor's several times over the years. In just the last week, I had to call 911 and the non-emergency dispatch number for two different incidents. They were SO slow to respond it was scary. By the time they arrived, the issues had passed, so no one was punished for their crime. The second call, they didn' even show up. I am thoroughly disgusted. I won't call police ever again and will just let the crimes happen. Total waste of time to call police for help! UPDATE: Ada County Sheriff blamed Boise City Police for slow/ no response.
