"At AcuCare we specialize in Facial Rejuvenation, TMJ and Jaw pain, as well as gynocology, stress/anxiety relief, digestive, hormone therapy treatment, Mens health, scar therapy, cupping, pain management utilizing trigger and motor point therapy, sports medicine. We use methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Classical Chinese medicine, Japanese Acupuncture, as well as Vibrational Tuning fork therapy. All treatments include aromatherapy and are catered to your specific concerns. Education is key for Patients, so we will spend time explaining how the treatments work, as well as come up with a timeline for your specific needs. Julie is by far one of the best specialists for acupuncture in Vancouver. I have been going to her for years. She applies immense care and dedication to her patients. She takes a tailored approach with each session, really diving into the issues you want to work on and what might work best for you at that specific time, focusing on specific issues. Julie's acupuncture has helped me with emotional healing as well as physical relief in the muscles and joints. 12/10 recommend. You will not be disappointed!!
Amazing! Awesome! Exceptional! I have been doing Chinese medicine acupuncture for over 30 years. Some of the acupuncturists I saw were excellent and I had a high standard of expectation.When I moved to Vancouver in 2020 I was very much in need of acupuncture treatment For a painful Jaw. I found Julie on Google. I called her and she Spent about an hour talking to me. I immediately was impressed by her intelligence, warmth and kindness. After my first treatment my jaw pain that I had been struggling with for a month was gone. I remember texting a Friend after that treatment saying I just met the best acupuncturist ever. I have been seeing Julie on a regular basis since then and she never ceases to amaze me with her depth of knowledge, experience and very kind care. As another client of hers has expressed on YouTube, Julie is the best acupuncturist in the world. I do not see this as an exaggeration.
I’ve been receiving facial acupuncture from Julie for two years and this lady has the best vibe—I always feel very well attended to. Consistently and completely rejuvenated after each treatment with her; she explains everything thoroughly which I love! Each needle is methodical and has a purpose. I often get unsolicited compliments on how bright and lifted I look afterwards. Which is nice, ya know? It’s a focused hour of wellness and self-care in a beautiful environment

AMAZING. What a great experience. I've never been an acupuncture person, but I am now. With me, if something got hurt I'd just rest it and take a pill. As I get older I started doing more research it into healthier more natural remedies. I was referred to Julie after a car accident and I can't express how much she helped me. Now I go to her for a myriad of concerns and I'll be starting on some facial rejuvenation stuff in the near future. I was blown away by her joyous personality, her deep knowledge and training and of course the results. I'll be seeing here soon for sure!
This is one of the best cosmetic acupuncture experiences and services I have ever had and that's saying a lot due to the fact that I lived in resort towns and used all the high end resorts for their services over the last 15 yrs. Julie Shillabeer, R.Ac Registered Acupuncturist is amazing and true genius in her craft. Her energy is enlightening, her touch is calming and her education that goes along as she treats you is up lifting. I found Julie in Vancouver after watching Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop Lab Netflix series for a facial acupuncture treatment. Botox doesn't work on me and my face needed some TLC but more importantly so did the rest of my body... After finding out that she is the #1 trainer across Canada I new she was the right fit. I have been seeing Julie for almost 9 years now. She has helped with numerous chronic and short term injury. I constantly refer my patients to her with confidence. Not only is she highly skilled with years of experience in her practice but she has a nurturing second nature that allows your body to relax and release! I recommend her services to the public!
Julie is a true professional and also the most genuine person you will ever meet. You can relax knowing that she will always have your best interest at heart. Over the years Julie has worked hard to improve my overall health, and the health of my skin. I'm in my early 40's and wanting to improve my skin and slow down aging without the use of botox or filler. I've had many facial acupuncture sessions, and three micro needling sessions so far, the results have been nothing short of amazing. My skin is better than it has been in years. The deep lines I once had between my eyebrows have decreased dramatically! My skin is glowing and many fine lines have disappeared, the over all texture of my skin is smooth. You can't compare a micro needling session with Julie to a micro needling session at another spa. Many spas don't take the time to fully numb your skin, and don't use the latest and best equipment...they rush you in and out in 45 mins. Do yourself a favour and make an appointment with Julie!
