After my initial consultation and treatment with Ross over a year ago, the continual pain and stiffness in my back, neck and shoulders that I had been experiencing for several months - and intermittently over many years - literally disappeared. The help and advice Ross has given since with regard to my overall health and well-being has been invaluable. I’ve also found it really helpful to be able to book appointments as and when required, and without any pressure at all. Ross’ holistic approach has very positively impacted on my life and it’s a similar story for the friends I have recommended to him as well. After fall from a height in South Africa, I was diagnosed with 8 broken bones, spent 3 weeks in hospital and had constant back pain, which was put down to having 5 broken ribs. 5 weeks later after a wedding in Cornwall, the pain was so bad, paramedics were called out at night and I had to take to a wheelchair for the rest of that holiday. On returning home I contacted Active Health for an initial £20 consultation with x-rays, it was very thorough. 2 days later I returned and was shown to have a fractured Thoracic vertebrae. A gentle plan was put in place to keep the muscles relaxed, to enable the fracture to knit without stress. Initially I went twice weekly and I began to feel a slight difference immediately, this difference grew the more sessions I had. After a month visits dropped to 1 per week, then fortnightly. Then monthly. Results have been amazing, it was 2 months from wheelchair to playing bowls again ... just 14 weeks after my accident. Being free of this pain has rebuilt my confidence. My thanks here go to Ross Fripp, who is brilliant at what he does, very caring and very thorough. Back problems always take time to settle and require at least a few treatments, I found with Ross he had a good idea of how long this would take to settle and he gave me a 3 month treatment plan, he also said things might settle quicker or slower depending on my own body's healing rate. Mine settled quicker and we spaced visits further apart at a quicker rate than originally anticipated There are a variety of different packages on offer making treatment more affordable. These packages support those with short and longer term injuries. My husband and I now share a package for economy.

I've been meaning to post this review for a while now, but kept forgetting! Useless. Ive had a couple of problems that I've visited the clinic for and on both occasions I was diagnosed and treated by Ross. He was very professional and made me feel at ease throughout my time at the clinic. The first appointment was basically a diagnosis of the my injury. I was really impressed with how thorough he was with his examination, after that we agreed on an appropriate treatment plan that best suited my injury and my schedule. The first problem was diagnosed as my rotator cuff shoulder which fortunately, although very painful, was nothing too serious and resolved itself after a few weeks. Had it gone on any longer and not resolved itself I would have had treatment, so he actually saved me some money by telling me to wait for a couple of weeks which was nice! The second is ongoing lower back pain; he gave me some good advice around lifestyle changes and also treatment over a number of weeks which helped relieve my symptoms. I now live in Surrey and unfortunately had to find somewhere else to go which is a shame, I have no doubt that if I had continued visiting active health I'd be guided back to my normal self. Superb. Dr Fripp really quickly diagnosed and solved a problem with my neck that was not only causing me a lot of persistent discomfort, but also stopped me from being able to rotate my head when cycling and looking behind for traffic. Every step of the way the treatment was clearly explained to me. I would definitely return to Active Health should another issue arise.

I first visited Christopher a few years ago after a neck complaint left me in so much pain I was almost passing out after a simple cough or sneeze. Don't get me wrong, the relief wasn't instant, it took a few visits but this was explained to me right from the start. The difference after about 5 appointments was amazing and finally the pain subsided although I kept up with regular appointments until we felt it was under control. I now see Peter every 6-8 weeks now, just to keep on top of things, my choice, but you don't realise how much you need it until he works his magic. Occasionally I've had to book an emergency appointment after flinging myself around on a rollercoaster but they are so accommodating at Active Health and always manage to fit me in. I have recommended many friends to visit when they are in pain as I know they will get the best service and treatment here. Highly recommend this practice. I personally saw Ross who was fantastic and showed his expertise on my lower back injury but I'm confident that all the staff are amazing. I experience any pain or injury I'll call Active Health. Excellent service.

Ross is the man ! Walked in with pain and walked out pain free. Very professional service and very knowledgeable about nutrition and vitamin deficiencies.

I bought a groupon for active health following chronic back and neck pain post childbearing. I was met by an extremely friendly and polite receptionist, Francesca, and swiftly introduced to dr coote who was extremely warm and put me at ease; explaining all that needed to be done and always checking to see if I had any questions. my follow up appointment was very informative and relieving post manipulation. Knowing that chiropractic work is not necessarily a "quick fix" I was greatly impressed to be given a 3 month plan which seemed to suit my needs and will hopefully rid me of my daily pain. If you want a friendly, professional and informative experience to better your symptoms I highly recommend active health and have already recommended to a number of friends and family! Can't wait for my next session and to see long term results.

Great experience in sorting radiating pain up and down my leg. Excellent patient care from Ross from initial consultation and treatment through to a maintenance phase. Did a great job of explaining mechanisms behind the pain and the treatments.

I would recommend caution with this chiropractor. I saw them for lower back pain. They xrayed me and gave me a treatment plan which I informed them made the pain worse. I was reassured this was expected and would ease with continued sessions. However after several sessions when I was not recovering I saw a physio who gave me another x-ray and told me I had a fracture. You would hope that if they are going to give xrays they are trained in how to interpret them. I also found them to be over enthusiastic with certain manipulations you may not need or want for example neck manipulations when you're attending for a sacral fracture.
