The mission of Active Balance Chiropractic is to provide the members of our community with high quality and effective health care in a comfortable and caring environment.

Our goal is to not only alleviate pain, but to correct the cause which in turn allows the body to utilize its natural powers to restore itself to normal function. We wish to inspire and educate our practice members to become active participants in their wellness.

Over the last 25 years, I have worked with chiropractors, acupuncturists, masseuses, and physical therapists to address the nagging back pain that I'm used to dealing with on a daily basis. I have experienced short-term relief before, but never any lasting improvement...so I'll readily admit that I was skeptical when I first stepped into Dr. Brennan's office. Dr. Brennan's immediately put me at ease. He listened to my concerns with careful attention and able to figure out what was going on with pinpoint accuracy. I knew right away that he was going to be the one to help me move along the path towards healing. To my amazement, my back pain decreased by 50% within the first week after our initial appointment. After continuing to do the exercises that he recommended, my back feels better now than it has in over a decade. I'm not joking. Dr. Brennan's is truly gifted. He is not only a highly skilled, knowledgeable, and thorough clinician, but also kind, gentle, and compassionate human being. I'm picky. Very picky and he passes every test I have. I have spent many years struggling with horrible shoulder and neck pain. Mike Brennan has been wonderful. He really listens and has helped me immensely. His treatments and strengthening exercises have changed my life. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a chiropractor.

This spring I visited ACTIVEBALANCE for ongoing maintenance for a chronic back problem. Dr. Brennan's thorough 1st assessment included a review of exercises that I have been doing for the past 9 years. After my adjustment he demonstrated a number of exercises that he felt would better support my back and possibly alleviate some pain. In good faith I began the new exercises. 10 weeks later I returned to Nelson and visited ACTIVEBALANCE for another adjustment. This will be an ongoing part of my life, but I was shocked to discover that in doing the exercises recommended and icing when appropriate I have reduced the pain that I have lived with for 9 years. I'm able to enjoy longer walks and even able to cook more often as I'm able to stand for longer periods of time. Thank you for your care, and hope for more mobility and less pain in my future!
