First time at Acoustic Java and overall I really like the atmosphere. The staff are friendly and courteous. I truly enjoyed the coffee and the food. I especially liked the books lining the books. It is quiet and you can easily read or work. I feel relaxed walking out of this place. Parking could be an issue and it is in the middle of the old industrial Worcester, but I highly recommend it.
Wonderful coffee roaster tucked back in a historic building. They offer a variety of house roasted coffee beans Mexico and Sumatra Gayo are my personal favorites. I had the opportunity today to also enjoy a latte and coffee crumble cinnamon muffin - both of which were quite good. As I spent the day working in their spacious side room, I also enjoyed lunch of a Turkey cheddar sandwich which was served on a hearty rustic bread perfectly toasted. A hot cup of lemon ginger tea and, later, Egyptian spearmint tea, rounded out my culinary visit! Will surely return!
Ordered the Peppermint Patty and Olive bread with whipped feta. It was delicious and I'm not even a fan of olives. The latte was perfect not overly sweet or minty.Food: 5/5
Delicious coffee and great selection of beans to buy for home. I also tried seasonal special maple latte - yum! And lox bagel was incredibleRecommended dishesPour over Java
Acoustic Java has a great coffee shop atmosphere, good staff and friendly baristas, good food and coffee. Very fond of this place and I do recommend it! Personal criticism - Disappointed that the good food and drinks are served in plastic and paper to-go packaging instead of ceramic mugs or plates.Who doesn’t enjoy their coffee in a nice mug ya know? Also, looks like they are understaffed due to what I presume to be low pay rate. Good place for coffee and food!
I love this cafe! It has very much of a local, sustainable vibe to it. The staff are all very friendly, and the food and drink are delicious. There is a large space with books lining the walls through a set of doors from the drinks bar where you can get a quiet spot to do work or read. This is my go to coffee shop to get work done or for a little self care time.
Very, very poor service. Walked out before ordering. Barista never acknowledge us and he wasn't busy. He didn't even look at us while he prepared a pour over right in front of us. Then he helped the one customer that came in after us and still didn't look at us. We decided 10 minutes was enough time to waste in here.Service: 1/5
As someone who is a coffee fanatic I always look for some good cafes. I found the acoustic Java located near the college and ended up finding this one after my fiancé got her hair done which is located in the same building. The coffee is SO good. The customer service is 10/10. They know your name, they converse and are always so nice. The food is also really good. If I could give this place more stars I would cause it is the best coffee in Worcester perhaps even Massachusetts.
Roasted bean quality, selection, and freshness are all lacking. For calling themselves a “roaster” I was unpleasantly surprised by how little roasting they do. They have a table packed with a large variety of roasted beans. When I visited, many of these bags were over a month old and should have been tossed long ago. The Largo Espresso is an utter disaster. It’s oily and severely over roasted. 20 grams of ground Largo producing 30 grams in 30 seconds yielded a sour and acidic shot. On a positive note if you’ve been avoiding a full breakdown and cleaning of your grinder running this trash through will force your hand. They do offer another espresso blend but I wasn’t brave enough to try it as it was dated July and I was there in September.
Great space. Wonderful coffee. Perfectly made Cortado. Really nice simple foods. Barista was super friendly and helpful.
