I absolutely loved eating and hanging out here. We were passing by this town and Acorn Saloon was the only place open past 8. We called at 8:10 asking if we can still come in for dinner and we were warmly welcomed. The staff were super friendly and patient, offering us a taster of their local brew. We got some sandwiches with soup and some gizzards with home-made horse radish sauce. The horse radish sauce was very tasty though I cried through eating it. I would buy a pint of that stuff if I could just bring it with me on the long road home. Thanks so much, Acorn Saloon! For giving us late travelers such a great, warm place to take a rest and have a bite. God bless <3
This is a tavern so you must be 21 to enter and dine. They were very busy at 1115 am. Breakfast ends at 11. We had soup and sandwich and the chicken rice soup was very tasty. A little on the noisy side .
Step up to the classic style of the 1903 bar and enjoy a great burger and your favorite drink! You better go for the beer-breaded fries for the win!Food: 4/5
Awesome place for grub! Very nice wait staff.
Fun place. Saloon/bar in a historic building. Lots of fun kitch. I had the 2 biscuits and gravy with two eggs. They actually did the eggs over easy which was a pleasant surprise. Gravy was good and biscuits were soft and fluffy. The service was good too. Kid-friendliness: No one under 21 allowed as it's a bar.
We've enjoyed this place over the years there menu choices need to be better represented. For example the drinks from the bar have more appeal than the menu options. Customers are all about presentation. I know this place can draw a bigger crowd if the show an effort!Food: 3/5
Staff was friendly, food was decent, steak had to much fat. Beer was over priced at 5.50 a glass for on tap coors light imo. Meal and two beers is gonna be 35$ each with an appetizer.
My favorite neighborhood bar and restaurant in this part of the world! Love their burgers and fries. Service is always great, and I always feel welcome.Food: 5/5
Being from Canada Christina Lake we googled top breakfast spot in Collville and well this is true. Ordered Chicken Fried Steak and eggs and wow huge food size and awesome white gravy. Two plates were needed with eggs, hash browns and toast on one and gravy covered chicken fried steak on the other. Now I am a gentleman but did think twice before offering my wife a taste lol, iit was that good. And um my wife gave me that “don’t bother asking” look when I eyed her cut bacon lol. Atmoshere vibrant classic bar and they even have Fireball on tap! Been here before when our friends and us went on a bike ride, the friend chicken was better than finger lickin’ good! We want to move to Collville just we don’t have to drive 40 mins lol!
Somebody just walked up to us on the street and said we should eat here. This is real good food. Had chicken fried steak. The fellow in the back knew what he was doing. Wait staff working hard and still getting everything on time. People being greeted by first names. An adult place with regulars.
