We ordered delivery through Skip the Dishes and were truly disappointed. The poor driver had to wait half an hour at the restaurant after the food was supposed to be ready. When it finally arrived, we were unable to identify one of the dishes not sure whether it was the chicken we ordered or not. Every dish was poor quality. Some burnt, some overly chewy, some consisting almost entirely of breading, and all lacking flavour. We threw away most of it. Will not be ordering again.
First time customer yesterday and was very impressed. Excellent won ton soup, beef and mushrooms was just that, not any vegetable filler which was awesome and the chicken fried rice was also great with not all that bean sprout filler I've experienced at every other chinese place I've ever eaten. Egg roll was excellent also. Price was very reasonable, especially for the portions and no vegetable fillers. Would totally recommend and will definitely order from here again.
They made us pay for the food before it was prepared- which was fine with us. However, once we got the food, they ushered us out of the restaurant without letting us dine in like we saw earlier customers do. We went home and saw that instead of giving us satay chicken like we ordered, they gave us a horrible tasting dish that wasn't even listed on the menu. Poor service and ethics. Even the fortune cookies tasted cheap.
The weakest attempt to quality food I think I've ever tasted. I hate to write bad reviews but feel a need. People work too hard for their money. The sweet and sour pork was mostly fried crispy batter and very little pork I actually stopped eating it. The rice in my chicken fried rice was burnt. Very disappointed. Last time I ever go there again. It was my first time and I even told the owner that.
It's not great to be honest, I once ordered a few combos 3 I believe, and it took over an hour to be delivered. And I agree with some of the comments. The delivery driver is really adamant about the tips which I would have no problem with if my food was half decent and took less than 35 minutes. It's okay if you absolutely do not know what to have for supper.
Just ordered from here half an hour ago, honestly super disappointed with food. Got the family dinner for 2, egg rolls chicken balls and fried chicken fried rice. The egg roll was good however couldnt eat anything with chicken in it as it was absolutely disgusting. I couldnt even bite through the chicken ball or any of the chicken pieces. All a rubber texture. We had a laugh after ordering once we seen the reviews but didnt realize how accurate the bad reviews are. Save your money and order before 11 to the other chinese place in town. I threw out the food and am now eating a pack of mr noodles which is by far better.
Honestly i have never left a review before until today. I'll admit we ordered late it was aeound 12:30am i believe. But it took them well over an hour to arrive. Once they finally arrived the machine woudnt read card and i had to physically drive down the road with him to get the reception to work. And finally once we got the the food that was $20 more than what the menu said the food was i can honestly say, the most disappointing thing ive ever had. Everything was bland and tasted old and frozen. It had this weird fishy smell to everything and it was just generally a very unpleasant experience all around. If I could rate 0 stars I would.
I don't usually write negative reviews, but i feel bad letting people think this is a decent place to eat. Have never ordered Chinese food in Orillia before, thought i would give it a try. Ordered the sweet and sour pork with noodles. Got it home, tried one bite and spit it out. it had the fishiest taste ever, like complete seafood. It was terrible. Ended up throwing out the entire meal! Sorry for the poor review, but there's no way i couldn't not leave one. Also, when i walked in to pick up the food, not a single soul was sitting down in the restaurant. 6pm on a Friday...
How does chicken taste like shrimp in every dish? One dish consisted almost entirely of onion. The lemon chicken was over battered and overcooked. At least the bok choy was acceptable. If I could give a half star I would.
My family and I ordered the dinner for six meal through delivery on Saturday night for the very first time. The delivery driver was very presumptuous by setting up the debit machine with the tip option first before payment. The food was ghastly! The deep fried chicken balls, shrimp, wings and the egg rolls tasted like the oil it had been cooked in was burnt or hadn't been cleaned or changed in a very long time. There was also a few pieces uncooked pork in my portion of the mixed sauteed greens. The bean sprout chop suey was congealed which made for a very unpleasant overall experience. This is the first and last time I will ever order from Ace.
